Brian
Cuban outfielder Guillermo Heredia has left his native country to pursue an MLB contract, per Ben Badler of Baseball America. Heredia, 23, was the center fielder on Cuba's World Baseball Classic in 2013 and is known for his defense. He will be exempt from international bonus pools, which is good news for his bank account. Heredia is a plus defender that will likely play center field in the majors, but his bat is a question mark according to Badler. It's uncertain when he'll be cleared to sign with an MLB club. We don't really have room for him, when I think about it.
ChiliIrishHammock24
Is he even major league ready? If we sign him and he has to go to AA, that may not be a bad move if Avi doesn't pan out for a couple years or if Eaton inevitably hurts himself. LDF
this sox systems needs all the players / prospects they can get their hands on. this system is thin and is in need of more players, players who can be backup and since they are young, be groomed to take the spot over. maybe not next yr, but maybe the yr after or so.
