3GamesToLove
It wasn't even a shutout...Jenks pitched the 9th.
Douglas Rome
yeah, let's not forget Bobby Jenks, we'll call it combined shutout. I wonder if Danks could have sustained the 9th, we'll never know. thanks, douglas

witesoxfan
QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 06:36 AM) most historic game ever, surpasses the '05 postseason, not even close. name any other single game that had more impact. Johhny Danks will always be remembered for his performance that nite. I think he still has it in him and he will shine in 2015. thanks, douglas John Danks is not a good pitcher anymore. Eminor3rd
QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Feb 1, 2015 -> 08:59 AM) what did Samara ever do? Are we forgetting that Danks pitched a shutout in arguably the most important game in White Sox history? thanks, douglas Right. By that logic, we should try to pull Frank Thomas and Jim Thome out of retirement, because they were both REAL good for us.
LDF
there has always been important date in any history of any ball club. it is based on what someone will consider important. many hitter, many pitchers have had career moments in their lifetime. i will say, on recent events, for me, it was opening day last yr, with Jose A 2 hits, followed by a week later, with 2 hits, 2 hrs and 5 rbi's. i then looked to my cuz and said, i think the sox have a real special ball player there. another game not last yr, but coming into the last of the ninth, bo jackson was up and hit the hr for the sox to win the game. there are many such events..... and they are all great memories. Kyyle23
Dwayne Wise had arguably the greatest catch in White Sox history 6 years ago, I think he should bat leadoff and play centerfield forevs. Thanks, Me.

Reddy
I'll agree that the Blackout game was my second favorite White Sox memory, after Game 2 of the ALCS for the AJP stolen first base and walk off double by Crede, but basing 2015 decisions on something that happened in 2008? Eff it, let's just call up the entire 2005 squad AND the 2008 squad, and have them arm wrestle for who makes the team. I love you, douglas. So glad you're back. Douglas Rome
yeah righty lefty but maybe it's just how I remember Horlen. He pitched a couple important games at the tail end, won a couple and if I remember, he lost one to Catfish Hunter. thanks, douglas
Kyyle23
QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 03:17 PM) It's Dewayne Kyle god you're so stupid. there are far too many alternate spellings of it, i went with the safe one.
