shysocks
http://grantland.com/features/worst-mlb-co...prince-fielder/ Included: A number of guys brought up as Soxtalk offseason targets at one point or another (Edwin Jackson, Andre Ethier, Joshn Hamilton, Ryan Howard). Not included: John Danks or any other White Sox. I would take any of these guys before Prince Fielder, for the record. Thanks Rangers! If the Cubs cut EJax, I have the feeling the Sox would be interested.

Balta1701
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 10:54 AM) At $500k a year? Sure, you take a chance on him. That seems more reasonable than two prospects and $10 mil.
kitekrazy
Congrats to Jackson's agent. Hard to believe a $11M annual salary.
ILMOU
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 11:50 AM) Congrats to Jackson's agent. Hard to believe a $11M annual salary. It was actually $52M over 4 years or 13/yr overall, I believe. The contract was slightly front-loaded. Truly, the Adam Dunn of pitching contracts, but is there any comparison in the bad press that each side of town got for the signings? Not completely unrelated to why Albert Almora is still in all the Top 100's.
Rowand44
Was there any dip in Edwin's velocity last year? He'd be a perfect candidate to grab if the Cubs let him go.
Balta1701
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 11:24 AM) Was there any dip in Edwin's velocity last year? He'd be a perfect candidate to grab if the Cubs let him go. He's been slowly trending downward every year since 2011. 2011: 94.7 2012: 93.4 2013: 93.0 2013: 92.8 Is that the cause of his struggles? Seems doubtful, but eh.
