that play fairly significantly hurts what slim playoff hopes the bears had . You gotta figure that Seattle at 6-5, and with a tie breaker will end up with a wild card spot ahead of the bears. Clearly one of GB or Min will win the division, so the bears have to catch the other. A GB loss and bears win on Sunday would have put the bears 1 back of GB and at least with hope.

Now the bears best hope is that Minn loses to Seattle and Arizona in the next two weeks (certainly very possibly, and perhaps even likely). If the bears take care of SF and Was, it would set up a huge game in Min with the bears 7-6 and MIn 8-5

Is there any replay that shows the facemask

the fingers brushed the facemask, but it didnt pull it around. It was a smart move by Rodgers to swivel his head around

That game last night was crazy fun and I'm glad the Packers won, but my lord is that team a hot mess.

I don't know what's going on. I think it's probably just a one year problem, but they need to make some changes in the offseason.

McCarthy needs to call the plays again. Play calling from Clements has been awful.

He really does. I thought him giving up play calling at the beginning of the year was a huge overreaction to that Seattle game last year. It's not their only problem, but that is looking like a terrible mistake on his part.

If it were to hit the roof, is it still a catchable ball? Not that it would happen but if it did.....

This probably would have come up in the Dallas Cowboys new stadium thing. I'm pretty sure if the punt (main concern) hit the scoreboard it was live.

It's still kind of up in the air. The only time the scoreboard has been hit AFAIK was on a punt, and the ruling on the field was "rekick".

I don't know what to do about throwing, though, because it doesn't seem like it should just be a replay. Part of me thinks it should be a delay of game penalty, an intentional grounding penalty, or an incomplete pass.

Pretty much. Can't blame the ref for flagging it.

Two guys threw the flag.....two guys saw it wrong.

On that penalty both guys assumed they saw something that they did not.

It did look clear on tv but they need to see it to throw and neither could have seen it as it was not there.

According to ESPNs Rob Demovsky, both Eddie Lacy and Alonzo Harris missed curfew Wednesday night and that is why Lacy only got 5 carries and why Harris was cut on Thursday

Who the hell wants to stay out late in Detroit? I get that literally anywhere has a better nightlife than Green Bay but.... Detroit.....

It looked 100% like a facemask in real time. It was the right call.

debatable on whether to root for Minnesota or Seattle today. I think the Bears have a decent chance to catch Minnesota if Minnesota loses today (Min @ ari next week, then vs bears)

Blaine Granberg is such trash. Can't believe he, jake locker, and Christian ponder were high first rounders in the same draft. Grabbert and Locker were taken ahead of JJ Watt
