Doen't the Spring Training I hope to be back by the All Star break in reality mean hopefully September?

Rather agree. Would feel better if he said June. Any further delay pretty much torches his season.

I guess I'm slightly more optimistic about Crain.

Nate Jones is so far out of sight out of mind for me, the only time I really remember the guy is when i see his bad car commercial

I was about to say the same thing. Not even going to plan on this.

Yeah, and it's not just Tommy John he is recovering from, back injuries seem to always linger.

acquiring talent.... that is the best scenario, let the players separate themselves.

it just makes this team even stronger, come playoff time.

Didn't they call him "The Closer", but then when he wasn't the closer, they released an updated version of the ad and they just referred to him as "The Reliever" or something? Either way, it was an awkward and bad commercial.

I love Nate Jones. I hope he recovers and makes a contribution to this team. He could make a big difference if he's healthy.

all i have to say, if Jones comes back as expected, then Cain, and all the prospects, this system will have THE Strongest pen in the entire MLB.

not to get the baseball gods pissed.

Agreed. Putnam, Petricka, and Guerra also have to prove that they're not one year flukes. If they can pitch like they did last year, this bullpen is in pretty good shape.

Even when/if he gets back here, you aren't going to see "Nate Jones" until 2016. The first year back is almost always a step below the career norms.

Is that as regularly true for relievers as it is for starters?
