Dick Allen
QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 10:56 AM) Flowers and Soto CAGE MATCH. Watching Soto throw the ball back to the pitcher is hurtful to the eye.

shysocks
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 11:01 AM) Watching Soto throw the ball back to the pitcher is hurtful to the eye. Ha I haven't watched any innings he's caught, but if it's that bad I have a lot more doubt about him as the backup. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 11:02 AM) Sanchez? Booooooo. Sanchez has done exactly what you'd expect this spring but he's just been overshadowed.
Señor Ding-Dong
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 11:01 AM) Watching Soto throw the ball back to the pitcher is hurtful to the eye. It's infuriating to no end. *rubs hand in dirt*
Señor Ding-Dong
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 11:02 AM) Sanchez? Booooooo. He's been really solid all-around. He's played well enough to earn the starting job in my opinion, it's just that Micah has been even better.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Señor Ding-Dong @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 11:27 AM) He's been really solid all-around. He's played well enough to earn the starting job in my opinion, it's just that Micah has been even better. Sanchez has never and still does not excite me in any way. I'm okay with him being a backup player, but it's not even close who I'd rather watch play.

Señor Ding-Dong
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 12:03 PM) Sanchez has never and still does not excite me in any way. I'm okay with him being a backup player, but it's not even close who I'd rather watch play. No, he's not exciting, especially compared to Micah. He doesn't need to be, though. On this team with the weapons we have, he just needs to play a solid 2B and not be Gordon Beckham with the bat. This is likely moot anyway, as Micah looks to have a firm grasp on the 2B job. I'm just saying that Sanchez has been solid and worthy of starting if it were not for Micah tearing it up. It makes me feel better about the 2B situation if we ever need to go to Sanchez for an extended period of time (Micah getting hurt or not performing; knock on wood). fathom
BTW, nice of the White Sox to tweet Samardzija's tourney bracket that shows what the entry fee was. I'm sure he'll be banned from baseball for life. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25117024

chitownsportsfan
LOL at the shots of some of the pitching staff working out behind Avi. Crain on the elliptical working up a nice shine and some goofball doing really poor form dumbell curls and presses behind Avi. The pitchers on our DIII team were def the guys least likely to be found pumping iron. Something about them just doesn't lend to serious weight training. Avi however looks pretty cut. Massive shoulders.

I'm sure he'll be banned from baseball for life. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25117024 The Sox tweeted a whole slew of the players' brackets, showing the fee on it. I wondered at the time why they didn't grey that part out. Not smart.
chitownsportsfan
that little toe rock Q does would annoy the s*** out of me trying to time him. I wonder if it adds some timing problems for hitters, can't hurt. Looks like he's ready to start his windup and then it's really half a beat later.
