GGajewski18
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 08:26 AM) Ha! Jacob Morris has converted from OF to P. Interesting. Joins Brad Salgado in that pen among players who converted from position to pitcher while with Sox. Few interesting things for me. Morris converting to pitcher like you said (he never hit that well anyway). Leonards back down to GF I assume, and Ethan Gross taking his spot I believe. Mendonca back to GF? I thought he did well to stay up or at least in the organization. Connor Walsh also back down to GF. Chris Curley back in the organization lol. He'll help this team offensively. I love that Adams and Martinez are up in Kanny. Great assignments in my opinion. Did Zach Fish move to catcher from OF, or do they mean Zach Fisher? lol Where is Ben Brewster, Nick Delmonico, and Josh Richmond ?
NorthSideSox72
And Zach Fish going back to catching from the outfield.
GGajewski18
I have the Kanny rotation as Guerrero, Adams, Martinez, Lowry, and Almonte. Thoughts?
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 08:47 AM) I have the Kanny rotation as Guerrero, Adams, Martinez, Lowry, and Almonte. Thoughts? I see 8 starters, so I can't tell. Those 5 you list, plus Peralta, Valerio, Trexler. Guerrero is a starter. I'd bet money on Adams, Martinez and Trexler. That leaves one slot for Peralta, Valerio and Almonte. It is possible they might do a tandem thing like they did last year, maybe with say Adams and Martinez to protect their arms. NorthSideSox72
Josh Feldman says Kanny going with a 6-man rotation! The front four are Guerrero, Adams, Peralta, Lowry. Said to ask him later who the other two are (my guess is Martinez and Trexler).

GGajewski18
Erik Johnson is active. Brantly to the DL. So, is Johnson starting now?
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 09:14 AM) Erik Johnson is active. Brantly to the DL. So, is Johnson starting now? Should supplant Haviland, but maybe not right away. Johnson didn't get to pitch much in March, he may start in the pen to stretch out. NorthSideSox72
My biggest surprises who weren't assigned to a full season team (could be hurt, could be going to Rk, who knows): Ben Brewster Terance Marin Aaron Bummer Tanner Banks Peter Tago John Ziznewski Zach Thompson There are others too, but those stuck out. All but one are pitchers, they really seemed to just run out of room.

They just finalized their roster. Quick question, Matt Heidenreich, didn't we trade him to the Astros for Brett Myers?

Quick question, Matt Heidenreich, didn't we trade him to the Astros for Brett Myers? Not sure if we traded him for Myers but we did deal him, was once interesting but was released and we re-signed him Hope someone finds Silverio, great glove, above average bat

NorthSideSox72
Delmonico is on the Restricted List. Seems weird. So now with the rosters all final, these players were not assigned to full season clubs but are (as far as I can tell) still in the org. This is among players who were in the US last year, so I'm not including guys who were only in DSL... RHP Chris Freudenberg Josh Goosen-Brown Connor Walsh Brannon Easterling Matt Cooper Tanner Mendonca Matt Ball Zach Thompson Evin Einhardt Lucas Shearrow Victor Done LHP Aaron Bummer* Tanner Banks* Ben Brewster* Mike Gomez* INF Ryan Jones (1B) Ryan Leonards (2B) John Ziznewski (3B) Juan Silverio (3B) Jake Jarvis (2B) Audry Santana (SS) Victor Velazquez (?) Jordan Yallen (2B) Johan Cruz (SS) OF Michael Danner Micker Adolfo Antonio Rodriguez Louis Silverio C Zach Fisher Ryan Plourde The names in bold were the surprises to me. Marin is on loan to the MEX League.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) Kanny's rotation almost makes up for their uninspiring group of position players. Adams, Guererro, Martinez, Lowry and then the less exciting Almonte to round it out. I was a little disappointed to see Trexler sent to the pen but it's hard to put much weight in anything at that level. They have a 6 man rotation, so there is still a question who the last starter is. Seems it would have to be Trexler or Valerio, both of him have pitched, but perhaps as their side days. They both pitched just once on the 10th, so that could be their side day work in essence. By the way if you want a chuckle, look at Trexler's profile picture on MiLB.com. He may be "old for level", but he looks like he's about 15 in that picture.

NorthSideSox72
Found out why Aaron Bummer wasn't assigned. Had elbow surgery to remove bone spurs and floating bodies (NOT TJ). Asking him when he thinks he'll return, no response yet.
