Vance Law
After giving up a home run to Moustakas to go down 4 - 0 he wanted to put Cain on base? I don't buy that.

LittleHurt05
Surprised to see the defending 2014 AL Champs starting a petty fight with a 4th place team. Sure he hit you on purpose, Sox still haven't beat you yet.
Vance Law
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 11:20 PM) Looked like a pretty obvious pegging. He was going inside, and he did hit him (Alex Gordon earlier in the game hit himself), but if Shark is putting Cain on base for no reason when he's down 4 runs then Ventura and Cooper will need to teach him baseball. greg775
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 04:25 AM) Surprised to see the defending 2014 AL Champs starting a petty fight with a 4th place team. Sure he hit you on purpose, Sox still haven't beat you yet. The Royals have been throwing at the Sox for years and acting as if the game is against a rival. I know getting "fired up" for teams isn't really common in the cool world of baseball (the season is a marathon, you know), but I think the Royals do perk up a bit when they play the Sox. They've owned the Sox for a bit now and it certainly seems like they get a kick out of having the upper hand. It's nice that Shark showed a little fire in throwing at the Royals. Now the Sox have to have his back because KC will want to sweep our ass after that incident. Edited April 7, 2015 by greg775
Brian
I didn't think it was intentional. Looked like a 2 seamer that ran in. But if it was, oh well. Take your base and STFU.
Jake
I assumed it was intentional as retaliation for the showboating from Moustakas as he went around the bases

shysocks
QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 08:39 AM) I have a bigger problem with Moustakas. He needs a humility lesson. The way he was pumping his fist and screaming you'd have thought he just hit a walkoff to win the division, not a solo homer in the 5th inning of OD. And yelling at Shark from the dugout after the plunking - guy needs to chill out just a tad. I'd feel differently if I was a Royals fan but guess what I'm not! When KC took the field the next half inning, the camera was on him yukking it up with someone during warm-ups, presumably Sox Third Base Coach. Wonder what the dialog was. Dick Allen
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 09:53 AM) Then hit Moustakas next time you face him. Part of the problem with doing that is when they call you in to see if it was intentional, it's a little harder to say no. This works fine. No need to get suspended, and the Royals might not act like they won the WS after hitting a homer to make a 3-0 game 4-0.
AlSoxfan
I think he was just pitching inside to reclaim the outside of the plate. If he he him oh well shucks, get off the plate or get hit again.

shipps
Cain why dont you act like you have been there before? This is baseball and people get plunked intentionally quite often. He wasn't head hunting and you won the game. Move on.
