Just a more confident KC team. Cooper has his work cut out for him with this pitching being in a funk since spring started

Obviously he has a great track record, but this is the second straight spring our pitching looks completely unable to find the strike zone. They've been throwing for 1.5 months, everyone else is shutting people out. Why are we so far behind?

Its bush league. Now in the Merionette park little league you celebrate every home run like its the last one on the planet, these however are pros who play 162 games. Its game 2.

it's a kid's game and why not show some emotion and flair dude had a great game. good on him. I'd like our guys to pickup their f***ing games to his level.

only real positive is some of the offense today. f*** this s*** man. it's early but what a s***ty way to start the year two games where in the end it wasn't close.

The second game was "close", but i'm about 17 runs in 2 games.

Why are the Sox so lousy against teams in the Central? Do you guys like our chances in any game played at Kauffman? Royals on paper are so much better than the Sox it's scary and sickening. 6-13 is probably about as good as we can expect vs. KC until things start changing drastically.

I can see people getting upset. It still looks like the Sox of 2014 playing games 163, 164.

+1

You want optimism for the home opener? f***ing win tmr or at least show some f***ing life. Last year the team showed life early and died late so whatever but show us something.

It is a game. I dont mind strutting around the bases. Thats expected. The curtain call however on game 2 is a bit much.

key word: "close"

and yea, that pitching tho. To a Royals lineup that is OK but certainly not close to the league's toughest.

As long as we keep letting Escobar get on 75% of the time, KC's offense is going to look awesome.

The pen has been terrible. High pitch counts, too much action, no Ks.

Ventura is the same amateur he's been for the last 3 seasons. But he's friend of JR and Williams and he's a hero, and that's what's important.

The White Sox are flat...the Royals are flying high and feeling confident, especially with all those HBP's.

Keep in mind, until the World Series (and Bumgarner), they were on an amazing streak. And Rios/Morales seem to be fitting in quite well into that line-up.

It's like KSU or Missouri going into Lawrence and trying to win right now. Not easy at all. Not with KC so jacked up and on a carryover high from last season.

The move to Micah followed by Duke to Perez was pretty head scratching. Also, Duke should probably pitch the 8th if he's not primaly a LOOGY.

The sox pitchers just made mistakes tonight. They gave up 2 multi run HRs. I don't think Quintana and Putnam gave up too many last year. I rather they have a funk early then when it's too late.

25 of 28 in the division to start the season.
