BigHurt3515
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:34 PM) 25 of 28 in the division to start the season. This will probably be our downfall
chw42
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:34 PM) We just need to pound Volquez tomorrow. Because the Royals are going to jump on Danks.
bmags
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:35 PM) This will probably be our downfall really abysmal, for a team that has started slow traditionally. Of course, when we've started fast it usually meant we were a playoff team. Oh well, probably doesn't mean anything, shouldn't overthink it. flavum
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:35 PM) This will probably be our downfall God, I hope not. 14-14 would be so nice, and then move on with the season. 10-18, we're f***ed.
greg775
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 04:25 AM) I can see people getting upset. It still looks like the Sox of 2014 playing games 163, 164. Yeah, that's what bums me out as well as being doormats vs. the Royals.
kitekrazy
The Royals still look like AL champs with that killer pen and the Sox.........they still look like the Sox.
Panerista
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:43 PM) The Royals still look like AL champs with that killer pen and the Sox.........they still look like the Sox. That bullpen is unreal. The idea that every lead is safe is just insane to me.
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:37 PM) really abysmal, for a team that has started slow traditionally. Of course, when we've started fast it usually meant we were a playoff team. Oh well, probably doesn't mean anything, shouldn't overthink it. I dunno not only did they lose they lost in pretty much the exact way everyone worst cased before the season. Offense is solid but not elite and this pitching and defense? Hell this is with the top of the rotation, granted sans Sale.
caulfield12
3-1 (end of 2013) 13-6 2-0 Royals have won 18 of their last 25 head-to-head meetings. 72% Probably lower than the betting odds going into tmrw afternoon's game with Danksie. The Royals ALSO won 10 of their final 12 games against the White Sox in 2012 (when the Sox desperately needed those wins). All the White Sox needed was 6-6 or 5-7. caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 09:59 PM) Danks- 16 career starts vs KC 7-0, 2.43 ERA 10 starts at KC 4-0, 1.73 ERA How does he only have 16 career starts? Twins- 27, Cleveland and Detroit- 22 Post-surgery? I would imagine that the specific 2009-2011 the numbers looked a lot better...Danks was shaky, especially to end, in 2008. Could be wrong and he just has their number...

caulfield12
http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_...8508/john-danks Hosmer is the only one in the entire line-up to put up an OPS approaching 800ish against Danks. The rest of the Royals have been terrible against him. At least, up until tmrw afternoon.

Jerksticks
We got some really nice pieces. Hang in there boys. Royals SP doesn't scare me and they have no thunder and they pitched a million innings last year. The man'll pitch next week. I'm excited.
SoxAce
QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:23 PM) We will probably win tomorrow since everyone expects a loss. Wouldn't surprise me if Danks out pitches Shark and Q. That's baseball.

To be fair, it wouldn't be that hard to out-pitch our starters the past 2 games.
greg775
If the Sox stink this year I'd be all for changing to an organization that keeps firing managers every 2-3 years til we get the next superstar skipper. I mean I worshiped Ozzie and was loyal to him, but I'm not in the mood to be that loyal to Robin, even though I like his interviews.
