So we're going to have one example to hold onto....the wildly-improbable "Winning Ugly" season.

7 games behind in the standings at 25-30 on June 10th.

Went on a 21-12 streak to get to 46-42 and first place on July 18th.

Finished 99-63 (same as 2005), on a 53-21 stretch, or, to extend it even further, 74-33.

Dude seriously, 0-3 means nothing.

It's 2 games. White Sox fans like to complain.

We're just so used to losing and looking bad/dysfunctional while doing it that this seems like a continuation of last year and the Robin era. Robin-ball has been defined by some individual highlights but pretty much bad baseball. Plus every year the pennant is decide by a game or two so even if the Sox do contend, it's not healthy to drop game after game in bundles.

No. First off you moved the goalposts and said 0-3 when this team is 0-2. But anything to whine like a White Sox fan, and then made it seem like anytime they made the playoffs they started out 15-0. It's just not the case.

My goodness, how do we let Escobar just destroy us like this?

He was something like 1/18 before that at-bat (career-wise against Danks). Cain 0/11.

Fundamentals. Execution. Can the White Sox up their game offensively?

Typical 2014 Royals run right there.

No challenge on the play. Phone systems from dugouts to bullpen and replay areas in each clubhouse are down at this moment

5 minutes to decide that

Robin-ball has been defined by teams extremely short on talent trying to rebuild.

He's been serving those outside pitches to right all series. Yet we continue to throw those to him.

Ned Yost bunting in the first inning...classic.

Accompanied, I'm guessing, by Hawk explaining Moustakas will have the best year of his career as long as he hits second because he'll have things to do and something something.
