Feeky Magee
7 Ks through 3 for Rodon. 1 hit, 1 HBP, 1 wild pitch.
BigHurt3515
So what do we do if Thompson totally rakes at AAA? Make him a 4th OF?
caulfield12
97 is the best we saw in ST. Matt Sweirad says 90-94...maybe 93-97? Pitch count in low fifties in the fourth. 8/10 changeups at 85 for strikes, 89 mph slider...through 4 with no runs given up. caulfield12
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 05:58 PM) So what do we do if Thompson totally rakes at AAA? Make him a 4th OF? Nope. Needs to have a full season of offensive success....Shuck is fine for that role. He would be the first choice if theres an injury...although they seem to like Angel Beltre, too. Both Beltre and Shuck can sit on the bench.
ChiSoxJon
Saw Kanny drop a game today and will see them again tomorrow, took away some notes: - Eddy Alvarez is probably the fastest guy on the team - Mason Robbins was killing balls the other night and now homered to right, Fish went deep too but was poor behind the plate and on the base paths - Yelminson Peralta doesn't have too much special to him but he was fooling hitters early until one awful inning - Bruening was wild but had a good outing I'll be back tomorrow for the series finale, Lowry on the mound

GreenSox
Nice outing by Sanburn in Bham tonight. Perfect 2 with 3 Ks. Sox will need a few bullpen arms to ship up...wouldn't surprise me to see him up at some point.
Chicago White Sox
http://www.southsidesox.com/2015/4/12/8392...charlotte-start Great article on Rodon, seems like he's pretty much ready for the pros. I still think a late April/early May is the most likely scenario.

Alvarez I keep hearing positives on his defense, that's great to hear at SS.
ChiSoxJon
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 09:39 AM) Robbins is a guy with some natural power I'm keeping an eye on. Alvarez I keep hearing positives on his defense, that's great to hear at SS. Robbins has a monster swing and I heard he had a powerful college career, hope he keeps it up, Alvarez was great in the field but a let down at the plate
caulfield12
At Alvarez's advanced age, he's going to be hard-pressed to be much more offensively than another version of Leury or C.Rondon.
