WHarris1
Is was really pleased with what he did today. He only made a couple of mistakes. He gave us a chance to win, and thats all we need.

southsider2k5
Hopefully the pen stint will serve as a wake up call for the kid. He has a world of talent, he just needs to concentrate on every single batter, instead of just the good hitters.
BridgeportHeather
That's all we ask of our #5 starter...Go out there and give us a chance to win...That's what he did, and our offense responded later on in the game. Great job, Danny!
winninguglyin83
Are they going to start him in Fenway Friday or go with Bartolo on three days rest?
SoxFanForever
I was really pleased by Dan. I had a feeling he was going to be ok. Most of the team has responded since we are in the hunt and have taken it to another level. It is nice to see.
BurlyMan56
I feel bad that Danny won 14 games last year; and has'nt won a single one as aa starter yet. I hope he can at least win another as a Starter.
BridgeportHeather
Are they going to start him in Fenway Friday or go with Bartolo on three days rest? Giving Colon just 3 days rest would be insane. Wright WILL pitch at Fenway. If we win this next series, I won't be one bit nervous with Wright on the mound. DBAHO
Don't forget Wright and Garland won most of their games last year in September. Garland looks good again finally coming through on that potential of his, and Wright with a quality start did his job as well. I think he's our no. 5 for da moment, and then he should be moved into da pen next year.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Well, you don't win "most of your games in September" when you wind up with 14. Did you notice that when Wright when to the bench, Buhrle went over and kind of hugged him for what seemed to be more than 30 seconds? I'm sure he was telling him what a great job he did for the club. I thought that was a very class, leadership thing to do by MB.

Class move by Mark and I'm sure you are dead on with your comments about what Mark probably told him. Huge game from our fifth starter. I like Danny's grit. This kid does have a world of talent if he can harness it.
The Critic
I like Danny's grit. This kid does have a world of talent if he can harness it. I agree. Hopefully, he'll continue to progress and learn because he does seem mentally tough and he has some good stuff. If Garland continues to mature and if Wright can bring it together, that bodes well for the future of the rotation.
Harry Chappas
The Tub of Goo had one good outing....oh wait wrong thread. I like Danny Wright and pull for him. I think he is better served in the pen as a Gagne sort but I would give him another shot at starting and wish Garland, Buerhle and Wright could have nice careers here.
