GGajewski18
QUOTE (LDF @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 09:35 AM) this is going to be a nice test For Martinez? Yes. Blackmer is a little intriguing considering we got him for De Aza, so I hope he gets off to a nice start.
flavum
It's Blackmar. His dad played on the PGA tour a long time.
GGajewski18
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 09:43 AM) It's Blackmar. His dad played on the PGA tour a long time. My bad. I made the change. According to the FutureSox twitter, Havilland and Johnson are doing a tandem today.
NorthSideSox72
Haviland and Johnson are sharing a starting slot for the time being, working tandem. I'm a little surprised Blackmar is starting over Garcia or Sanburn, but that makes me more intrigued about Blackmar.
LDF
a nice test overall to make a name for themselves.

NorthSideSox72
Hawkins first AA HR. 1-3, no K's so far. Blackmar got hit around.
Dunt
Anderson 3-5, 2 RBI, 1 E
fathom
QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 10:57 PM) Anderson 3-5, 2 RBI, 1 E Pretty sure he's been picked off twice already this year. Great offensive start for him though.
ILMOU
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) Pretty sure he's been picked off twice already this year. Great offensive start for him though. Well then, he'll fit right in with the good aggressive baserunning we're seeing from the parent club. Let's keep running like crazy against Sal Perez. We're due, right? winninguglyin83
maybe Erik Johnson might become a 7th or 8th inning guy.
Bruce_Blixton
Trayce Thompson continuing his hot start, it would be great if something clicks for him this season. He probably still has the best physical tools in our minor league system.
GGajewski18
QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 08:24 PM) Johnson done. 3IP, 3K, 2H. I am rooting for him heavy but this is a depleted Durham Bulls team. With Loney, Nick Franklin and John Jaso all on the DL the team is missing what would probably be their 2-3-4 hitters in Beckham-Mahtook-Dykstra. Encouraging start for EJ either way. Seth Lasso mentioned that Johnson was 92-95 with more torque in his delivery....If he can stay there all year, he can be dominant again. 2nd_city_saint787
What was Johnson at velo wise last year? Read a Lasko tweet that he was sitting at 92-95 today. That's higher than last year yes? Where was he in 2013? As always, Im a tad bit slow to post lol Edited April 14, 2015 by scs787

SoxAce
Now that Ravelo is gone, Jake Peter is probably the best pure hitter in our system.
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 08:28 PM) Seth Lasso mentioned that Johnson was 92-95 with more torque in his delivery....If he can stay there all year, he can be dominant again. That's fantastic news. Him returning to form would be incredible for our system. He was arguably our top prospect prior to last season if you exclude Abreu. I know it's only one appearance, but if the velocity is legitimately back I feel pretty good about his chances.

Would like to see him Double A by mid season. DiMichele shouldn't be blocking him.

If he pitches this way for at least 3-5 starts, I'm sure they would probably go with him over Beck, Surkamp or Penny (assuming they're not ready to bring up Rodon quite yet). Dam8610
If EJ remembered how to pitch, the rest of the division/league should become very concerned.
