NorthSideSox72
So Yency Almonte is the 6th starter. Interesting.
NorthSideSox72
Kanny rained out, play DH tomorrow. So just two games tonight. Easy peasy for tonight's recap writer, haha.

flavum
We've seen this before, but Cleto has been dominating in AAA so far.
SoxAce
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:19 PM) We've seen this before, but Cleto has been dominating in AAA so far. The classic AAAA pitcher. A shame too. He's got great stuff.
justBLAZE
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:17 PM) 2 hits tonight so far. Brad Penny getting shelled Heard Davidson was flashing the leather as well.
GreenSox
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:50 PM) The classic AAAA pitcher. A shame too. He's got great stuff. AAAA pitchers usually don't have the stuff he has.
chitownsportsfan
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 11:24 PM) AAAA pitchers usually don't have the stuff he has. I have a feeling cleto will have at least one decent year out of the pen in MLB. If he can just find the plate with his fastball, he'll be fine. That said, he hasn't shown any ability to do that at the MLB level.
SoxAce
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 11:33 PM) I have a feeling cleto will have at least one decent year out of the pen in MLB. If he can just find the plate with his fastball, he'll be fine. That said, he hasn't shown any ability to do that at the MLB level. MLB hitters are far more patient. oldsox
How much longer before the Matt Lindstrom experiment ends? Same question with Brad Penny.
ptatc
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 11:24 PM) AAAA pitchers usually don't have the stuff he has. They do when combined with his control and command.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:00 PM) I see Davidson has started where he left off last year. Not at all - this is where stats are dangerous in this small a sample size. He's been poking hits the other way the last few games, making loud contact, and I've seen multiple people talk about his improved defense. I'm actually a little encouraged, though it is early. QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 07:22 AM) How much longer before the Matt Lindstrom experiment ends? Same question with Brad Penny. Maybe a month or two would be my guess. royoung
http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2015/...ve-in-shootout/ Recap posted. Sorry for the delay. Nice performances from position player prospects (Sanchez, Davidson, Thompson) and Cleto and Webb pitched well.
