Wait, because they have one of the lowest injury rates is why they have been one of the worst organizations over the last 10 years? It hurts me to try to make sense of that.

BC they coddle pitchers. I am not saying it is, just something to ponder. The Sox have not developed any pitcher or position player worth note other then Sale. Why is that?

If they have been so awful the last 10 years and don't seem to be doing anything to make themselves better, why do you continue to pay attention?

Cooper is starting to piss me off. Usually when a coach has nothing else he starts using the whole "it's not easy" BS. Another thing is that this was a division game against a rival and a high leverage spot -- a MULLIGAN???

GMAFB. Don't insult our intelligence. Why is Hahn the only person in this org that owns up to mistakes? He owned up to the replay mistake even though he could have easily thrown the guy he didn't hire under the bus.

How about Cooper says "you know it was a tough spot and with our other LOOGY option unavailable we did what we had to do. It was a tough spot but we felt it was the best option".

I'm not even saying this was a "mistake" but take some of the heat off your players man without resorting to the whole "if it was easy you bums in section 103 would be out here" crap. You'd think with 5k showing up last night the first line of defense wouldn't be "it's hard being a major leaguer". No s***.

So the solution would be to push pitchers more, get them hurt more often, and have more awful pitchers from our minor leagues pitching more regularly? See if we can push Sale into TJ surgery so we can see more Erik Johnson?

Apparently Jose Quintana isn't "worth note"?

Losing leads to scrutiny and IMO, as someone who has paid a lot of attention to a lot of different sports for the better part of 30 years -- when your team's coaching staff starts with the whole "it's hard" routine -- the end is near.

It might not be for Cooper, but for White Sox 2015.

Don Cooper is the same arrogant prick he has been since the Sox hired him in 2003.

They were developed in Cuba. 75 % of the others were not fully developed in our oraginzation bc they were traded away. Danks and Floyd are laughable (in my opinion). Rodon and Jones are not developed yet. Q is a huge question mark right now.

Q was not developed with the Sox. He was brought up else where tossed aside and the Sox picked him up as a side project.

So now we are ignoring three years of Quintana's history?

After less than a month?

Obviously you never watched Danks with the Rangers/or 2007 or Floyd with the Phillies.

Part of development is assessing talent....the biggest part.

This team and forum needs a slumpbuster. f***ing run off 8 of 10 or some s***. Tired of talking about the same old problems with this org. Develop a god damn position player or two along the way please.

I pray to God that Marcus doesn't turn into a 4 WAR SS. It would be very fitting.

I agree we haven't developed positional players well. I don't even know who the last player was to come through our minor league system and succeed for the white sox was. It feels like a decade since someone came up and did that. That's pathetic. I'd take even another organizations prospects and they still couldn't succeed here. Our rate has to be worst in the majors.

Pitching you have plenty of success stories.

The White Sox took him as a minor league free agent and A ball pitcher, and turned him into a top of the rotation major league pitcher. The Sox get credit for developing Quintana.

Could that be the reason the Sox have been one of the worst organizations in the last 10 years? Just something to think about.

No. Injury rate and club success have no relation. Injury rate and talent have no relation. I can't even see why you would bring that up.

Also, if you look at overall record over the last 10 years, the Sox are far from one of the worst organization. I would say they are closer to the top than bottom.

Rodon obviously is not available today and Coop doesn't envision back to backs for him.

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 56m56 minutes ago

Coop on pitching: "It’s not easy. Pitching is not easy. If it was easy, you guys would be doing it."

Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 1h1 hour ago

Rodon: "Bases loaded, no outs. Second and third, no outs. Big hitter up. That’s a situation I have to be ready for."

Scot Gregor ‏@scotgregor 1h1 hour ago

#WhiteSox pitching coach Don Cooper on Rodon debut: Give him a mulligan. Wasn't finishing pitches; standing straight up after release.

However, he always does this. We've been talking about it since before he was drafted. It was just more pronounced yesterday hopefully due to nerves.
