Bottom five: COL 5.59, BOS 5.54, CWS 5.41, TOR 5.40, CLE 5.31. Boston fired Nieves. When are the White Sox going to show some accountability and fire their pitching coach for this hot mess? ptatc
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2015 -> 02:28 PM) Boston fired Nieves. When are the White Sox going to show some accountability and fire their pitching coach for this hot mess? With the 3rd worst starters ERA and the lowest run scoring offense in baseball, how is this team 10-15? Management?
Bigsoxhurt35
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2015 -> 02:28 PM) Boston fired Nieves. When are the White Sox going to show some accountability and fire their pitching coach for this hot mess? I didn't like BOS rotation to begin with. Ours is ok when Rodon starts. Sale is ok (missed ST and had an injury hell work through it), Q has pitched better lately and Shark is ok outside of a couple starts he'll be ok. Danks and Noesi suck. SCCWS
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2015 -> 03:28 PM) Boston fired Nieves. When are the White Sox going to show some accountability and fire their pitching coach for this hot mess? Nieves also was pitching coach when they won WS in 2013. But Boston has totally redone their staff since 2013 and not for the better. Boston media says you can't fire the pitching staff so the coach is the scapegoat. Management? I agree, it should be worse, and just when you think they are turning a corner, there's a stinker like yesterday. You can't win them all, but 2 out of 3 from the Reds without your top 3 starters pitching would be a huge step in the right direction. People that live in the past are cowards and losers. Just ask Da Coach. I'm just messing around anyway. I don't think anyone should be fired. At least at this time. caulfield12
http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/pitching/_/le...ric/order/false Mostly terrrible defense behind them. Kluber, especially Jose Q., Sale and Samardzija at 3.97. Apparently the poor defense/decision-making should be blamed on Cooper, as well as all the offense (42-43 Q no decisions). caulfield12
DWAR. LaRoche, Eaton, Flowers, Micah, Melky and A. Garcia all near bottom. Micah and Eaton last among qualified at their positions. Flowers next to last. Avisail has only Souza and Torii Hunter below him.

We knew the top 3 had to pitch like top of the rotation pitchers because the last 2 spots were weak. Add that under performance to the bad defense, base running and offense, and its not hard to see why this team could be headed for 90 wins at the current level of production.
