Yes, they'll bus back to Chicago after the game and fly to San Francisco tomorrow night. The one-city road trip to California...because that makes sense. chitownsportsfan
It only took 6 weeks to figure they needed more defense. Well, better late than never. Now you can do the obvious thing and exchange Micah for Sanchez. Bonifacio isn't that great at 2B.
Southwest Sider
Doesn't hurt to have Abreu available to pinch hit for the pitcher in a big situation late game. I wouldn't call it a complete day off, because he will need to be ready to hit.

Anyone else think that on days Beckham and Bonifacio are both in the infield, they should be playing Beckham at second and Bonifacio at third? Just my opinion as it seems Beckham is better and the combo of Alexei and Beckham was always great on double plays up the middle.

You got to go through growing pains when trying to develop young talent and switching over to Sanchez isn't going to change that. Sanchez will have his struggles at the plate and even in the field, and he has far less upside than Micah. I think swapping them out right now, when Micah has not looked over-matched at the plate would be a lateral move at best for 2015. Also, Sanchez was actually worse in his cup of coffee last year than Micah has been this year if you go by WAR.
