Chicago_____45 50 .474 8.0

Cleveland___41 54 12.0

Detroit_____ 26 67 .280 26.0

Standings as on July 17 of this year.

I think many of us forget where the team was earlier this year. I remember going in to KC and our team said it was a "BIG SERIES". KC even before we started playing them said it wouldn't make or break thier season. Well the Sox face another BIG SERIES this week. I know how we can respond to that type of pressure.

Go SOX. Let's go on another tear. :headbang :headbang :headbang

This team showed a lot of heart getting back into the race. Now they've got to finish what they started...

I quote one of the greatest journalists out there, Mr. Joe Posnanski:

"No team has ever won the division after trailing by 7+ games at the all star break."

LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE GONNA BE WRONG POSNANSKI SUCKER!!!

He already was wrong, in spirit in not technically. I pointed out several comebacks made by teams farther back than 7, AFTER the break. He choose to ignore that fact and stick with his narrow minded view of this one particular technicality.

He gave me the same type of self-seving answers too...
