Dizzy Sox
This is more like what I was envisioning the season would be like in Dec-February...let's keep it going!
ronkark
Huge hit by Carlos and huge baserunning move by dirtbag. And Sale was stones. BUT... what the heck is the with continued ineptitude in execution and playcalling with regards to bunting and smallball. NO way should Ramirez have been swinging in that situation, and it almost cost them. And Tyler and Conor have both been up there in similar situations and it's been the same thing. cleveland played it like was gonna be a bunt becaue IT SHOULD HAVE been. Why rely on 3 big hits when it could be just one. Small ball people. Small ball. Also how much are we paying Vince Coleman per steal because last in the league and 7/18 in steals is a joke. No reason to stop being aggressive. anywho, whatever, six in a row. keep it going and stir it up!

Also you had Soto behind him who is hitting under .200. I would rather give Alexei a chance to get a hit, his approach is just bad at the plate right now. caulfield12
You didn't need more than one hit in 3 opportunities. That said, Alexei has failed in that sacrifice bunting situation probably 80-85% of the time....hitting into double plays (wasn't there one triple play?) and getting lead runners thrown out or simply popping up into an out. Of course, you didn't like the odds with Soto (or Flowers, in general) coming up...but Sanchez is a contact hitter, thank god. That's one example offensively where having Carlos on the team instead of Micah there is a huge advantage. The other factor to consider was the dearth of bench options at that point in the game.
