He had a huge double vs Abad last Friday. He earned himself more chances vs LHP after that

Fair enough. Sox really needed contact there. I'd have preferred Beckham trying to at least put ball in play.

Well, this wasn't completely unexpected.

Bauer's a very tough pitcher this year, especially on the road (for whatever reason).

Have had their opportunities and haven't been able to cash in.

Wonder why Sanchez was giving himself up in the middle of the game....if that was from RV or his own idea? Because playing for a tie at that point at home is pretty ill-advised, especially when Flowers is running from 2nd.

Guess we'll have the usual debate about PHing for LaRoche in the late innings when a LHR's on the mound.

Robin hasn't ph for him all year. I would like to see Beckham there also, but it's obvious it won't happen at this time. After that double last week, it's not changing anytime soon.

Bauer's change-up moves like a screwball. He is a match-up nightmare for the sox. A pitcher with good stuff with late movement who throws out of the zone. The effectively wild pitcher. We of course are up there hacking.
