White Sox vs. Indians 5/20 Game Thread

Recommended Posts

I always really liked Marcum when he was on the Jays and wanted the Sox to get him. Then his shoulder fell apart.

He is good when he's healthy, but he hasn't been fully healthy since 2012, so make of that what you will.

The rule of "we don't usually fare well against the Blue Jays or former Jays" will rear its ugly head here, lol.

Watch, the next thing we do is pick up Ricky Romero!

Actually, this start is probably doomed from the beginning because of Rabbit's attendance AND since it WAS actually going to be Bruce Chen's turn. By the associative theorem, that means whoever starts in his place will pitch like Bruce Chen, no matter how much he hasn't pitched in the last two years.

And look out DET, Minnesota's gaining on you...amazing as it is (and it can't last, can it?)

That new manager effect.

Anderson is lighting up AA. They should move him up to Charlotte, can't wait to get rid of Alexei.

Any chance this gets delayed or even rained out? Anyone by the park right now? Forecast looks pretty bad until around 9.

Anderson has like 4 walks this year. He's still got plenty to learn.

BUT he had 2 walks in one night a few games ago! Progress, right?

It could very well be progress and let's hope so.

But for God's sake, give the kid a couple months at AA before moving him up again, please? Especially when another of his worries is "fundamental defense at his position" like the guy we just sent down after racing to the big leagues insanely fast.

Or Semien.

Note pattern.

Of course, the guys who actually can play solid to great defense, like Sanchez/Leury/Rondon might not ever hit enough.

Lol. I don't think he is anywhere close to ready. I can't believe some think he is ready right now
