lasttriptotulsa
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 28, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) Billy Pierce has the franchise record with 1796, so it's not an easy to obtain number. If Sale pitches with the Sox for a long time he does have a legitimate shot. That's really not that high of a number. Just using Sale's career averages so far puts him around that mark in 2019. Soxfest
Sanchez another quality AB.
lasttriptotulsa
Just as the Beckham haters started coming back out of the woodwork, he's got his average back up to .265 with a .750 OPS. Combine that with the leather he's throwing this year and he's a pretty valuable player.
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 28, 2015 -> 02:45 PM) Sanchez another quality AB. I still think I would rather have Micah up here. Hope his defense is coming along in AAA

BigHurt3515
QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 28, 2015 -> 02:46 PM) Just as the Beckham haters started coming back out of the woodwork, he's got his average back up to .265 with a .750 OPS. Combine that with the leather he's throwing this year and he's a pretty valuable player. A couple infield hits the last 2 days really helps that average. I still like him has a utility guy off the bench though. I don't think he should be getting the majority of starts (just against lefties and a late inning sub)

I'm not advocating he become an everyday player again necessarily, but he has definitely been money well spent so far. If Gillaspie and/or Sanchez keep struggling, he may have earned some more playing time.
