The Critic
http://money.cnn.com/2003/09/09/technology....reut/index.htm I don't think I like this idea - I guess it's the same principle as going to the theatre, but when I buy something, I like to keep it. ...hope the link works - if not, copy and paste to your browser. doubleM23
$6.99 for 2 days? Damn, you can get one from Blockbuster for like 5 days for less money.
danman31
I don't see the point. It just doesn't make sense. Why do they want to do this?

Capn12
I believe that was tried unsuccessfully already. When they first started releasing DVDs to the general public for purchase, DIVX movies were available, for under $10. The thing was, you could only watch them once, I don't think they ever "self-destructed" though. And DIVX, not the Codec for Microsoft, never recovered, and went bankrupt on that idea. Circuit City had some sort of evil partnership for their DIVX deal. That is one of many reason why I never shop at that store. I still remember the commercials with that DIVX guy: "If you're going to get a DVD Player, why not get one with DIVX?"

Michelle, you don't have to watch the DVD on a computer. It works the same as a regular DVD, it just wears out in 2 days.
