Man somethings gotta happen with second base. If the Sox start hitting then we can live with Sanchez at 2B, but if we don't we gotta bring back micah. A .150 hitter who is bad on the base paths (cannot steal bases) gives or offense nothing.

Yeah but it's not like Micah is some great offensive force either.

.270 and the best base stealer on the team, oh and he takes walks. He might not be an super star but he is better then half of our team hitting. His defense is way below par though. If only we could take Micahs hitting and speed and combine that with Sanchez's defense we would a really good second baseman

I didn't read the whole thread, admittedly, but...is there a reason Alexei isn't hitting 2nd again today? He actually was getting hits and on base, hitting 2nd. And Melky is....well Melky, and useless at that spot.

This has the feeling now of a must-win with how poorly they've played in the last couple of innings...letting the Tigers hang around is dangerous with our bullpen so erratic before the back end.

Big inning coming up for Samardzija here.

We are facing a RHP. Robin said a few days ago Alexei would hit 2nd against lefties.

Great job 2-3-4 hitters!

You couldn't have said it any better. Sanchez and Micah need to combine and we have a nice second baseman.

I guess I could never be an MLB coach because I'd have chewed both Melky's and Abreu's a** after those two at bats.

These guys under ventura - its just a sleep walk. I'm sure robin talks to them like men and that's nice and all

But to me these guys need someone to piss them off to wake them the eff up.
