Bigsoxhurt35
I'm hoping he's scratched tomorrow and we move him.
Whisox05
Jeff Samardzija suitors still haven't gotten a definitive signal #WhiteSox will deal him. Sox only 5 out in AL wild card. https://twitter.com/jcrasnick/status/625807462717911041 I'm going to be pissed if the don't move him cause they are delusional thinking they can still compete. 10 games since the all star break and they went 5-5 through today to be at the same place of 4 games under .500 when they went on break. They need to move him if the get a package they like.

Bob Sacamano
Could it be a tactic to try to get more?
oneofthemikes
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 09:48 PM) Could it be a tactic to try to get more? I wish. But I sorta doubt it. I really think that there are people in the organization that think they're gonna make a real run out of this. I want to believe that too, but this is the third really good stretch of the season and they always regress.
ChiSox59
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 09:48 PM) Could it be a tactic to try to get more? More likely a case of now being only 4.5 GB of the Twins with a middling TB and Detroit ahead of them and only 1.5 GB of Toronto and Baltimore. Like it or not, this team has played itself into contention the past 5 days.

Whisox05
Also, don't rule White Sox out for big move this week. To make one they'd deal Quintana, not Samardzija, & count on starter depth long term. https://twitter.com/philgrogers/status/625869391683547136
Bigsoxhurt35
@philgrogers: White Sox want the best bat they can get for Samardzija. With improved fielding, they can slide Erik Johnson into rotation and compete. @philgrogers: Also, don't rule White Sox out for big move this week. Could have easily been 3-3, and all the teams we're competing with for that 2nd wildcard are very mediocre.

Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 10:34 PM) My ideal situation is trading Q and M. Johnson for Puig, and then extending Samardzija Quintana > Puig right now IMO, although it's really close. Definitely don't think we'd have to give Micah on top of Q. Knackattack
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 08:34 PM) My ideal situation is trading Q and M. Johnson for Puig, and then extending Samardzija If I'm doing Q for Puig straight up I'd try to find a way to dump some dead weight instead of a decent prospect. Maybe I'm overvaluing Q but Puig's value has got to be pretty low (for him at least) right now,
caulfield12
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 09:32 PM) JP Morosi said he could see Sox going after Tulo earlier today on MLBN Wow, that would be a shocker. Still hesitant about adding an NL bat in the middle of a pennant race, but you'd be crazy not to consider it. The problem is that Ramirez has actually looked pretty good the last 2-3 weeks. And that would surely mean they're trading half the minor league system. Most importantly, does Tulo really want to play for the Sox? Does he have the right to refuse a trade to the Sox...do we know the list of protected teams he can't be traded to?
