Interesting weekend with Eaton, Abreu moved to DH and also to see if Beckham starts at SS tomorrow for Alexei.

“(Ramirez) does need to make those plays. He’s made them before. Ball gets stuck in your glove, you know, it happens. It seems like things like that happen too often. Not just to him, but to us that end up adding outs, adding base runners and not getting outs. Those things are adding up too frequently.”

No word on whether Ramirez stayed to answer questions not.

Mark Parent said had a "great discussion" with Adam Eaton after initial meeting earlier today. Said, "He’s on board."

Adam Eaton said he didn't think closed door meeting was loud but otherwise is letting Parent address. "I just work here," he said.

I understand sending a message but Eaton gives everything he has all the time. He wouldn't be in MLB otherwise. He also gives the team a better chance at winning than JB Schuck does.

It happens, they just don't make a public show of it.

If you think Shuck is a better option than Eaton than I have some s*** to sell you

the point is, in this situation, when hardly is preforming, the team should concertate on players who is preforming.

until Eaton starts to show he is worthy of that position and to be in the lineup, then fine.

btw, i congratulate on being a fine collector of feces. but i am not interested in prying you away from your pile.

Eaton dropping an "I just work here", doesn't exactly invoke a sense of harmony.

good, i thought it was just me..... i really had a problem with that, but i thought it was me and my lack of sleep.

If you wanna bench guys for not performing then we would have a 10 man roster.

I understand this is Eaton venting frustration due to his under performing so far but he really needs to take a step back and think about how his childish actions could affect a team already playing poor baseball.

If he wants to act like a child then treat him as one. Any time he b****es about a day off, I would sit him the next day until he learned to shut his trap. If he was playing better baseball, there would be no issues. This all comes back to Eaton's poor playing that has put coaches in a difficult position. After all, the TEAM is trying to get back into the race and Eaton's childish actions will not help. Eaton benched himself with poor play and at some point he will need to realise this.

i don't know if it was meant to be childish more like frustration. the point is, he is not the only not preforming maybe players needs a kick on the back side to wake them up, to shake things up.

I agree but, this team is filled with under performers right now. You can get on Eaton, but then there's Shark, Melky, Alexei, Danks, LaRoche, Gillaspie, Beckham, Sanchez, Flowers, Bonifacio, Quintana (to an extent).

If the first 4 guys on this list plus Q were even playing close to their career numbers, Sox would be over 500 right now.

all you need is 1 or 2 players to start the ball rolling.

btw, it is not like Danks to not preform. i think it has all to do with his arm and past injury. lets keep this in perspective.

I agree. While Shuck is hitting pretty well ( .280 +) he should be playing every day until he cools off. He is hitting almost 50 points higer than Eaton or Melky. So unless he is a bad defensive outfielder, he should start everyday.

Shuck's OPS is .670. Eaton's is .656

Shuck is 4 for his last 15; Eaton is 4 for his last 15. He's also 4 for his last 11.

Shuck has never shown anything other than utility level level talent. Eaton had an excellent year last year.

Sox do this repeatedly. A utility player has a decent game, and they get in in their heads he's as starter.

Pinch hit Bonifacio; play him at DH. Same silly stuff.

To me it seems Eaton's frustrations led to his childish act. Just my humble opinion is all. :D

I strongly disagree with this. Having someone express their disappointment that they're not playing is not childish. Matter of fact, I bet most starters share this feeling. Also take the player we're talking about in consideration. He's a competitor and his work ethic has never been questioned. I'm sure a lot of managers almost expect some sort of conversation to come up from their starters if they get benched.

An adult would have asked the coach to talk in private. From the articles I've read, Eaton was pretty animated about not playing yesterday and few of Eaton's comments were childish.

Read the articles and the quotes. He acted like a bratt.
