SCCWS
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) Shuck's OPS is .670. Eaton's is .656 Shuck is 4 for his last 15; Eaton is 4 for his last 15. He's also 4 for his last 11. Shuck has never shown anything other than utility level level talent. Eaton had an excellent year last year. Sox do this repeatedly. A utility player has a decent game, and they get in in their heads he's as starter. Pinch hit Bonifacio; play him at DH. Same silly stuff. I am not sure anyone thinks Shuck is the everyday CF. But while Shuck is hitting over .280 on a team that is struggling offensively, he should be playing until his bat cools off. Let Eaton and Melky sit more until they start to hit better. Whitewashed in '05
QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 01:28 PM) An adult would have asked the coach to talk in private. From the articles I've read, Eaton was pretty animated about not playing yesterday and few of Eaton's comments were childish. Read the articles and the quotes. He acted like a bratt. He did and I did read the articles (http://m.mlb.com/news/article/130394204/adam-eaton-not-happy-about-not-starting-on-saturday).
Balta1701
FWIW, the leadoff single off Sale today fell in CF and I was wondering why Eaton was playing that deep.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.
BlackSox13
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 01:49 PM) FWIW, the leadoff single off Sale today fell in CF and I was wondering why Eaton was playing that deep. Got to respect leadoff power. I think Eaton might be playing too deep as a result of him getting turned around a few times on balls hit deep this season. To me, Eaton comes across as applying to much pressure on himself as well as over thinking. I could be wrong...

BlackSox13
QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 03:05 PM) o-fer from the 3,4,5 hitters. Not going to win many games that way. I would like to say that Eaton is only part of the offensive problem. The numbers from veterans like Melky, Alexei and LaRoche are hurting this team as well. 3B... yeah, I'll just leave that alone, lol. Oh, lets not forget second base. Unfortunately, Eaton is bringing his bat to the field going by how he's played defense. This team just has a myriad of problems and there are no quick fixes. Going to be interesting to see how many fans will weather the storm for the rest of the season. Could be a rougher ride than it already has. Oh well, what can ya do? I'll be tuning in tomorrow at 6:05. Edited June 14, 2015 by BlackSox13
