Feeky Magee
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 02:38 PM) We're not sure but there's never been any actual statement that he was hurt last year and they've denied that IIRC. They really have made it sound like some sort of a major mental thing. I'm aware of that. I believe they are either wrong or are being economical with the truth. BlackSox13
Wasn't there speculation last year that maybe Johnson's arm was tired from the increase workload in 2013? Johnson went from 92IP in 2012 to 142IP in 2013 and we all know how 2014 turned out. Might explain his loss in velocity and command in 2014. GreenSox
North I hope your friend watched another Charlotte game...it would be interesting to see how EJ looked, pitch clockings, etc.

GGajewski18
Brian Clark for WS had an excellent start tonight. He has been pretty good all year.
GGajewski18
QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 05:37 PM) He was one of my favorite picks last year and he has been a stud other than all of the walks. First start today and he went 5IP, 6/0 K/BB. I like it. The org was really excited about him and Fry after the draft in '14. They were both primary targets in their focus of replenishing the system with lefties. He was also one of my favorite picks last year as well. Condor13
Just saw that Micah, Kottaras, and Davidson each hit 2 HRs. Hopefully it won't be long before they are all in the majors with EJ coming up as well

GreenSox
Kottras for Soto; whatever Flowers isn't, he's better than Soto. Johnson for Shark

Johnson for Shark I don't agree that Flowers is better than Soto and either do the advanced metrics.

I agree too. I'd take Soto over Flowers.

Boopa1219
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 03:44 PM) Disappointing season for Adams continues. Just needs to find a way to limit how many hits he allows. I think the goal for him is stretching his arm out, I hope he stays healthy. BlackSox13
Adams stretching his arm out and throwing strikes is what's really important here. He's just 19 and a ways to go so there's no need to rush or cast him off as a bust. Growing pains is all. Look at it this way. Adams went tit for tat with the second over all pick from the 2014 draft for the second time in a week. Adams will be fine, just have some patience for the young ladd. Y2Jimmy0
Kottaras is way worse defensively than both Soto and Flowers though.

And knowing how the White Sox grow pitchers, they are probably making him work on his second and third pitches at the expense of his first pitch.
