Outside of a few hours of Sox telecasts, that is what it has been since football ended.

I cant blame them. The Cubs are a good team worth talking about. If you talk about the Sox it is just a b****ing fest at this point.

Crain's Chicago Business says this is not confirmed:

While that may still prove to be accurate, Cumulus Media CEO Lewis Dickey says not so fast. He confirms that Cumulus has been bidding for the Sox broadcasts, as have other stations, but he said he doesn't have a signed agreement yet.

I really thought that WGN were the front-runners based on comments made 1 year ago by the President of WGN:

“We’re terrific partners with Jerry, we have the utmost respect for him and we would love to work a financial arrangement that was great for us both,” de Castro said.

Glad they're leaving the SCORE. Now I'll never have to listen to that station again. Everything on that station is un-listenable except the Sox games anyway. It's basically a cesspool.

Goff and Spiegs are great.

I haven't listened to the station outside a few Sox game broadcasts in years. I couldn't stand it anymore, especially Boers and Bernstein. Juvenile idiocy.

Same here. B&B are the ones that completely turned me off from that station, among others. I only tune in for Sox games and that's it.

Now both the White Sox and Cumulus Media (owner of WLS Radio) are denying any deal.

"There is no deal with WLS," Boyer told the Daily Herald. "Our rights are up after this season, but there is no imminent deal. There is certainly interest in our rights from all parties listed and we are doing our due diligence with all interested parties, but I'm not sure where today's blog post came from.

"Understandable, plausible argument, guess. (Feder) never reached out to anyone here seeking comment."

It would be odd if Feder turns up wrong.

Guess I'll have to check my radio on my way home to see how well that station comes in. I just cancelled my Sirius XM subscription yesterday too.

Why? I tried canceling last year and last 3 months. Had to come back.

I'll see how it goes. When my commute was 2 hours long it was an absolute necessity. Now it's less than 10 minutes. On weekends I'm usually driving my other vehicle that never had XM to begin with.

I can always stream stuff from my phone through the built-in bluetooth in my car.
