this is a great update. you are right on top of this news. many thanks for your work.

:notworthy

now forensically speaking, if there is no dna proof on any sexual contract what so ever, i find it hard for the courts to continue.

is there a case anymore ???

We'll never know whether or not he's a rapist monster, because this won't go to court. Likely, Kane will force a settlement with increased leverage.

The Buffalo News, citing two sources familiar with the case, reports that DNA evidence collected in the Patrick Kane were found on the woman's shoulders and fingernails.

Per The Buffalo News: "DNA tests taken from a rape kit conducted on the woman showed no trace of Kane’s DNA was found in the woman’s genital area or on her undergarments," according to four sources. They caution that this does not automatically mean a sexual assault did not occur because there are more types of evidence in these crimes. Kane has not been charged with a crime for the alleged incident that occurred at his home Aug. 2 after a night out at a downtown Buffalo bar. The investigation continues.

I thought that they usually found traces of DNA even when guys used a condom, just from body contact

I know is a show but I was watching one of those CSI shows once where the guy who murdered also raped and he used a rubber and was shaved bald down there. They couldn't get anything. I know it is just TV, and from what they supposedly could get DNA from, it does seem a little out there than none of his DNA would be anywhere in that area without a lot of cooperation from the accuser.

I don't know who these guys are, or how accurate their information is, but this is worth sharing.

This newspaper has confirmed that DNA tests conducted on the 21-year-old woman who has accused hockey star Patrick Kane of raping her has found DNA evidence of at least one person and possibly one or two more in her genital area but no traces of any DNA from Kane.

As the Buffalo News first reported on Sunday, the lack of any DNA evidence from Kane does not support the claims of the former UB cheerleader that Kane raped her on the morning of Aug. 2 at his lakefront home in Hamburg although the investigation is continuing.

The existence of DNA evidence not tied to Kane would appear to support Kane’s legal defense team which has appeared confident from early on that the NHL hockey star from South Buffalo with the $84 million contract would eventually be cleared of any crime in the encounter last month with the woman after a night of partying at a downtown Buffalo bar. As we reported first on Sept. 4, a report later confirmed in a statement issued by Kane’s attorney Paul Cambria, the defense has not engaged in any plea negotiations or civil settlement talks in the case. It should be noted that while the lack of any DNA evidence from Kane is a very important development, legal experts are quick to point out that the absence of DNA does not completely rule out the possibility that a rape occurred although the key players on both sides are not commenting.

Even though Teravainen was on a wing, Quenneville said he will "likely" be at center to start the season

Yeah, I don't want Teravainen at wing. He's significantly more valuable at center.

Maybe it was the goons he hangs out with. They did have his DNA under her nails and on her shoulder. It makes you think of several possibilities.

i am not taking sides but i like to point out something in your statement.

marks by the mouth, bite marks or anything like that can be thought of as a hickey.

dna under her nails, loose skins or she ran her hand thru his hair or if she was giving oral sex.

as you said several possibilities of anything.

edit or he can be guilty.

I'm convinced this is what is going to happen.

1) Lawyers don't charge (maybe some civil payoff)

2) NHL takes no action

3) Blackhawks do whatever they can to force Patrick Kane into some sort of treatment for alcoholism.

Patrick Kane is a bit of a behavioral risk not unlike Josh Hamilton.
