They may have won without him but I can't imagine him not being there for the first two. Contrast to players signed before who were sold in the same capacity: Ben Wallace, Muhsin Muhammed, can't think of much more, but it seemed like in the mid 00s when a lot of our teams were on the brink of breaking it wide open, the big acquisitions disappointed. Still the best signing in Chicago history, IMHO. Sounds like a big deal, but really there haven't been that many great signings.
