I'm going to break this down real simple for you, let me know if you can follow along.

 

1. You provided me three links. A Yahoo article, the was sourced from Dan Bernstein and Dave Diehl. We went over that already. That was specifically about a locker room fight. You provided me a RantSports article that was sourced from TerezOwens. Addiontally, it wasn't even about a locker room fight. It was about stuff outside the locker room, and it was a gossip piece.

 

2. The CBSSports article was about trade rumors that surfaced during the season. In the CBS article, they link to Sportsnet.ca, which IS a respected hockey site, including Elliot Friedman, who is also mentioned. Hey, we are getting somewhere! IN THE SAME ARTICLE, this is what is written:

 

 

 

So yes, I do believe a trade was salary cap motivated. The HOCKEY scribe that wrote it seems to agree.

 

3. Most importantly, you STILL have no provided what I simply asked for. A hockey reporter that wrote and sourced about the locker room fight. You claimed reporters were asked to leave. People saw it. Please show me these reports. That is ALL I'm asking for.

 

ref to the first bold, i still don't know who they are and were they are reputable or not. i just read the sport links.

 

again in ref to gossip piece, what do you expect when players and org are going to do, how spin doctor it..... no that may too much for you to understand. how dare they not tell the whole truth to the main group of fans.

to me, i am thinking that everything is too close to each other that that there was a spark that trigger everything. and yes, i do believe there is a whole lot of spin doctioring that it being done. so unless you or and one who needs to see first hand, i will listen to the sports links and take it with a grain of salt.

sure, a lot of players or people will admit that happen. if it didn't how come the players are not suing those who were quoted for defamation of character. there are a lot of proof that this reporter or that reporter are saying this.

Don't ever believe Bernstein. He kept it up after it was denied by Cheryl Scott that she ever had an affair with Sharp. Her lawyer called the Score, got Bernstein suspended and he never mentioned it again.

You are the one who is taking it extremely personally that people aren't agreeing with you. Anytime someone disagrees with you, you go on this long winded rant and even take it more personally if it is an admin or mod.

 

Can you not handle it when people ask you to support an opinion? This isn't some crappy assed-facebook page. This is a page with extremely intelligent posters who want a little bit more than rumors and innuendo.

 

Being able to share different opinions doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want, and everyone else has to bow down, agree, and accept it as the gospel truth. God forbid someone have higher standards than I read it on the internet, or heard it on talk radio. Being able to share different opinions means that people will probably disagree with you, and many will have their own facts to support it. If that bothers you this much, you have come to the wrong place.

If Dan Bernstein is the source, there is a great chance the rumor is to just get attention and to get people tuning into his dying show, Cheryl Scott is a hot, Brown educated, weather forecaster formerly of channel 5, now of channel 7. I think you can figure out the truth when a guy gets suspended, and never mentions something again after a call from an attorney, if it really was true, Bernstein would have been ripping the attorney for trying to intimidate him. If he had the truth on his side, he wouldn't have shut up.

again cherry picking little excerpts of a conversation to prove a point. i love when some one can come in an prove a point without getting personal stick to the facts and be reasonable open for a different point of view that may be going against their opinions.... and most of all not being subjective against it.

These type of rumors have been around for a long time and they all are supposedly vetted. Remember when Bill Self was the golden child of Illinois basketball? He takes the Kansas job and suddenly all you read from Illini fans is he was sleeping with cheerleaders, he used to pick up sorority girls all the time, and they all had sources deep in the athletic department who could confirm these things to be true. Funny how all of this was suddenly discovered, even though it had supposedly gone on for years, and he became a very bad guy right after he took another job. The Balckhawks were struggling, suddenly there is trouble in the locker room and Sharp is sleeping with a teammates wife, while sleeping with a weather forecaster, not to mention still coming home to a wife and kids. We love rumors or things like the National Enquirer wouldn't exist. The problem with rumors is the vast majority have zero truth.

 

I am pretty sure if he really was sleeping with Keith's wife, the Blackhawks would have unloaded him immediately.

Stan has won two cups, no small feat.

 

However, Nill started with a LOT less. The Blackhawks were going to be good, plain and simple.

 

Nill has taken a team that had nothing and added Tyler Seguin, Jason Spezza, and Patrick Sharp (and the Blackhawks' top defensive prospect) and has created a team that actually runs four deep.

 

 

 

 

Jim Nill did the Hockey equivalent of trading for Jonathan Toews entering his prime. The Seguin trade will go down as the best in Stars franchise history at the end of Seguin's career.

 

Regarding defense, maybe, except it turns out John Klingberg is a stud, so one could say "maybe we shouldn't move for defense if we have this stud and having Hemsky will make Spezza more comfortable.

 

By the way, Spezza is great. He was slow to start last season, but he is certainly worth the garbage Nill through away. He has more points than Toews and dominated the faceoff last night.

 

 

That sounds an awful lot like making excuses. Dallas was on a second game of a back to back and were a step slower than they normally are.

Spezza is not great. He hasn't had more than 80 points since 2009. If Spezza needs Ales f***ing Hemsky to make him feel better, he's a pu**y.

 

Klingberg is a great offensive defenseman. If he can improve defensively, that's a great move by Nill.

 

Bowman has 3 Cups. While Tallon did a lot of the 2010 work, he also f***ed Bowman over with the Barker and Byfuglien deals. Bowman's signings of Hossa and Campbell those years put them over the top.

 

The Seguin trade was a great one, there is no doubting that. I also wouldn't compare him to Toews.

 

It's not an excuse. It was a bigger game for the Stars. Face it. Do I think Dallas is really good? Yeah obviously, but I'm not going to bet the Stars if they meet in the playoffs.

This is the entire point of the debate, LDF. You have done this numerous times in the past, where you start a post with something stated as fact as you did above.

 

"Sharp HAD to go because of Keith's marriage. It had nothing to do with his salary."

 

That was your statement. We debate you on that using information provided online that we can show you, then you post "Yeah, I guess I'm just wondering if there is some element of truth." Don't you see how big of a contradiction that is? THAT is what we are debating.

 

Stop trying to turn this into a mod debate, it has zero to do with that.

 

ok, all that was a statement that i did provided and yes is it concrete evidence that it was the case, beyond a shadow of a doubt.... no, and so any other posters is correct on that scope. no one knows, only the powers to be will know the truth.

 

i heard of the trade or rumor attempt for a possible trade at the trade deadline. yes i read the sports link, did i totally believe in it, no, but it can not be denied that there may.... may be an element of truth. unless you, i or anyone else were there to see it.

 

now, everyone will need to acknowledge that spin doctoring does happen, and that if for pr reasons if anything else.

 

all i am saying and have said, there was or capable of being other reasons..... again this goes back to feb and a sports link, i do not know it that, that was being reported was true. if it wasn't true, then why no retractions?????

first point..... wow. that first paragraph is too deep ... i am not smart enuf for that.

 

second, i believe they tried or maybe they wanted to go as is to the playoff.... i really don't know the truth to that one. maybe no one else will.
