The interwebs are reporting that police have found out that Garret Ross was in Michigan when he sent the "revenge porn" video, so he can't be charged in Illinois. And it's only a misdemeanor, not a felony in Michigan, how convenient.

You can't do much better than that killing a major.

That was absolutely incredible.

If Keith misses a couple of games, I think we need to face the reality that the Hawks are finishing third in the division.

I've been expecting that finish for a while now. In the end, 2nd and 3rd place really aren't that different. Home ice is nice but they can win without it.

Dirty play, but if it doesn't cut into playoff games (Which they won't do anyway), it's a nice rest.

All of this doesn't matter if Crawford isn't ready or healthy for the playoffs.

I was in the 4th row directly in front of where Keith slashed Coyle. I was looking right at Keith's face when he was on his back, and he was f***ing PISSED. You could see the whole thing happening in slow motion, it was weird.

To me it looked like Coyle took Keith down clean (left hand straight to the chest), but my brother claimed Coyle swiped Keith's face before that. Regardless, retaliation or not, it was a dumb cheap play. Enjoy the mandatory rest, Keith.

I can see myself in the videos showing the play, it's funny.

Great place to watch hockey though.

then can i ask this question, what is your opinion of Chris Chelios, b/c he did worst....

I don't mind that it's a scumbag move, I mind how stupid it is considering the timing and this team's weaknesses.

if i remember a move chris did while in a playoff game against sltl behind the hawk net, he was angry with this one player who was being, for lack of a better description, playing a chippy game.

well the guy was skating towards him, he cross check him in the mouth and knock out some teeth.

same thing he did while playing for team usa.

For fellow American players of his generation, so many of those stories surround international play. Mike Modano remembers one exhibition game leading up to a World Cup when Team USA was facing a team from Europe, the opponent a hazy memory. One opposing player was being particularly aggressive against the Americans.

"Don't worry about this guy," Chelios said. "I'm going to get him."

Soon their paths crossed in front of the benches, and a quick stick to the mouth from Chelios shut the guy up the rest of the game.

"He knocked a whole row of teeth out,"

Crosby shot up the scoring list fast. If he and McDavid played a full season, we're talking different MVP and ROY

Edit: Didn't see Crosby has played 75 games. One would argue he didn't play at the beginning of the year, but my mistake.

That is really bad.

Chicago's Duncan Keith has been offered an in person hearing for high-sticking on Minnesota's Charlie Coyle.

Potentially playoff time. Who would you want to play without Keith for a game in the first round? I suppose Dallas. Maybe St. Louis? Yuck.
