The stat I kept thinking about all postseason was shot blocking. It's a key to winning it all.

 

Pens have the highest shots blocked per game in the Stanley Cup Finals now. Avg. 22.7 shots blocked per game. Simply amazing. Championship teams lay it out on the line. Pens did it well.

 

Another thing I've heard is how the east was cake and the west was so tough. Pittsburgh showed that they belong. Sharks PP was 1/11 this series. Not enough credit will go to Letang and the defensive unit.

While I agree, Crosby did have 19 points and did a lot of other things that were key. Shot blocking, had some absolutely sick passes to get guys great looks, winning face offs including the game winner in OT in game 2.
