John Danks , #50 LHP

3-8, 5.38 ERA, 55 SO

John Danks took full credit for a shellacking on Monday against the Twins. He gave up nine runs -- five earned -- and was unable to pitch over a costly Alexei Ramirez error.

Kyle Ryan , #56 LHP

1-1, 4.56 ERA, 11 SO

Ryan pitched in relief Wednesday on his day to throw a side session, but manager Brad Ausmus said it wouldn't affect his status. He threw his best outing of the season against the White Sox on June 5 with seven innings of two-run ball.

Eaton/Abreu/Avi/LaRoche/Cabrera/Ramirez/Beckham/Flowers/Bonifacio

I'm not a fan of this at all, as it you have to find a way to get better hitters in front of Abreu and not putting him in an even more likely chance to bat with no one on.

Rongey also saying today's game is "cancelled".

Look people, if the game is intended to be made up, the game is postponed.

If they do not intend to make up the game, THEN the game is cancelled.

If you're in the media and get this wrong, you're ignorant.

I don't like it. Makes the middle/bottom of order even more of a black hole.

It gives their best player the chance at more at-bats though. I like the team's best hitter in the 2 hole.

No Danks always a plus.

Not really. If the Sox have any hope of trading Danks at the deadline, a few decent starts between now and then would be helpful.

No one is taking Danks at this point, a couple decent starts won't change that.
