LDF
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 04:37 PM) I know there is a lot of season left that could mess this up, but Quintana started game 99 last night and Sale is starting game 100 tonight so that would put them on pace to start games 159 and 160 which would give mean either Quintana starts the WC game on 4 days rest or Sale starts on 3 days rest. nice work..... great job. caulfield12
No point in even worrying about who's starting a possible one game playoff game until around September 15th or so.
Lip Man 1
That certainly was an issue for the Sox in 2008. Because they almost completely folded the last week and had to fight for their lives to get to the playoff game to actually get into the playoffs, their rotation was a mess against Tampa Bay. Mark Yep, they were forced to throw Javy, for one thing...which didn't go very well, not surprisingly. You had that three game stretch of "win or dye trying" games, so there was simply no way to adjust anything at that point, it was just day to day survival with three different teams in a row if I remember correctly. Mark That rotation was a mess before they ever got to the playoffs. They had guys like Clayton Richard and Nick Masset starting games in September.
