Charlotte- Johnson

Birmingham- Jaye & Blackmar

Winston Salem- Clark

Kannapolis- TBA

Great Falls- Banks

AZL- TBA

If Johnson has another strong start tonight, I'd like to see him replace Danks next time around. We probably won't see him until Shark (or Quintana) is traded, but I really think calling him up to replace Danks in the near future is the right move.

it seems to me that all they have done is skip Rodon. Makes sense.

LOL Lindstrom...hopefully this settles any notion of him returning to the ML team. I'd rather Carroll (not that I think Carroll's a major league pitcher).

All is well with Erik Johnson. #WhiteSox are skipping him, giving him extra rest.

Smart move. Sox will likely need him in the rotation for the last 2 months of the season; no use burning him out in Charlotte.

Yosmer Solorzano- 6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 4 SO, 12 GO/0 FO

First three pro starts:

17 IP, 2 BB, 11 SO, 33 GO/4 FO.

And he just turned 18 in February. Interesting.

Love that number. What kind of stuff does he have?

"91-92 mph... and he complements his fastball with a sharp breaking ball"

-Ben Badler/Baseball America

From 2014 international signing article

Other six figure signings were: C Jose Colina ($450K, Venezuela), INF Jorgen Rosas ($380K, Venezuela), RHP Edinxon Arias ($350K, Venezuela), RHP Andres Sanchez ($300K, Venezuela/Cuba), RHP Yosmer Solorzano ($100K, Dominican Republic).

excellent find.

i think at being 18, he will still grow and gain more strength, so i would be surprise if he gains a couple of ticks on that fastball when he fully develops.

Yeah that's the hope. Without wanting to copy too much given it's behind a paywall, here's another snippet from Badler:

With a loose arm and room to add another 30-40 pounds, there should be more velocity in the tank once he gets stronger
