BigEdWalsh
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 07:23 PM) And there was another major league game in town at the same time, and a big rivalry at that. I'm confused. There's another major league team in Chicago?!

ChiliIrishHammock24
I was at the game tonight. The crowd was great. Cheering every strike from Sale and going nuts for every strikeout. I am so disappointed that he didn't get 10 Ks while I was there. I've seen so many big and historic games and I thought for sure this would be another notch in my belt. Oh well, it was a very fun game to be at.

BigHurt3515
If you re-watch Melky's game winning hit, after Abreu slides home safe you will be able to see a rare Conor Gillaspie excited jump in the dugout. Look closely or you could miss this rare occurrence
Heads22
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 10:51 PM) And the losing stuff just ain't fun. Like I've said, this years losses have sucked more. Maybe it's because knowing a competent offense would put us in the playoff race. i can't pull for us to lose like last year.

shysocks
Probably one of the top 10 games I've ever been to. I know it came through on TV too, but the crowd went crazy (without any stupid MAKE SOME NOISE prompts) every time Sale got 2 strikes. I was so wrapped in watching those two guys chop through the lineups that I lost track of the score, but the rally was thrilling and made all the sweeter because we didn't hang any earned runs on Buehrle. There was an extra layer of drama in the stadium from watching the sky and wondering if they would beat the rain. Under two hours, with two replays! Awesome game and a unique experience given the state of today's baseball.

southsider2k5
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) The Jays did him a favor by swinging early in the count. No need for the bullpen. Doug Padilla @ESPNChiSox 1m1 minute ago Jays were intent on swinging early and not striking out last night. Proof: Sale averaged a season low 3.4 pitches per plate appearance. Chisoxfn
I wonder if Buehrle decides to play next year and if he does (clearly he's still good), whether the Sox would be an option. I miss Mark. And yes, I'm sentimental when it comes to Mark. Miss watching him pitch for the Sox.

In all seriousness, if you let Samardjiza sign somewhere else, they will need at least one more starter. I'd prefer a lefty, but if Mark comes at the right price and on the short term, hell yes. Let's just put Danks out of his misery, move him to long relief, bring back Mark and put a righty in the rotation from somewhere else.
