Wise Master Buehrle
Give them to Portland, they need/want it more than we do.

elrockinMT
Next year they need to be somewhere other than Montreal and/or San Juan. I would think MLB in the DC area would be nice. Rather than contract teams they should look at moving some poor attendance clubs around to new areas of the country.
Mathew
Leave them in Montreal.

Send them to DC and give em a name that isin't gay & they'll do fine.
Bighurt52235
Give them to Portland, they need/want it more than we do. Hell yeah we'd want them/ love to have them. I would literally s*** a gold brick if we got them. f*** DC, they already have a top line team in every other single sport. All we have is the Blazers. southsider2k5
How incredible ignorant. There are all these places competing for a team and they want to dilude the Chicago market more.
danman31
Stay in Montreal. 2 teams is packing this town as is. Throw a 3rd in the mix won't work, even if it's for a year.
SoxFanForever
I agree, 2 is plenty. Well, one real team and one sideshow atleast.
Chisoxfn
Sounds like one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Two teams is plenty in Chicago and some would debate even that is too much.
BridgeportHeather
sideshow Please don't use that term!!!
SuperSteve
There's a reason Bud Selig hasn't discussed moving the Expos to Chicago for a season. Cause it is stupid as all hell. Why on earth would you want 3 teams in one area. The Orioles owner b****es about having a team close to his team. So why would Reinsdorf and the good ole Trib Co want a third team. JR doesn't like attendance now anyways. That is just a silly idea.

YASNY
Some sports writers have too much time on their hands. They start daydreaming and think they had good ideas. No way in hell can I see this working. As for downstate... no stadium being built. It's going in St. Louis.
moochpuppy
How incredible ignorant. There are all these places competing for a team and they want to dilude the Chicago market more. The Expos would turn into the Ross Perrot of Chicago Baseball. Yeah, let's try and dilute the Sox fan base more so that the Cubs fan base looks even larger. :fyou How about just combine the Expos in with the Sox? Now that's an idea!!!
