Fitting, what a terrible team.

The remaining optimist in me is looking at the bright side that the question of selling is solidly answered.

If he is hurt put him on the damn DL

That's what I was thinking. Or just assume he's a singles hitter til the hand improves.

Calling for a bunt in that situation is reason enough to fire ventura.

2 on no out; heat of the order coming up, and Robbie plays for 1 or 2. managing scared.

You kind of had to bunt there. Down 2-0 nobody out. Pretty much had to do it.

Thing is now, if we're gonna keep giving away outs and not drive guys in, Robin needs to start adjusting. Double steal, hit and run.. something cause moving guys along ain't helping.

Bigger problem right now is how bad Abreu looks. Healthy Abreu and I think it's a 2-2 game. That's just what he does.

Jose either has his head stuck up his A** or he is hurt.

If it's the latter this guy has some problems staying healthy big time.

2 yrs in a row now he has been hurt.

Seems like a guy we might want to think about giving proactive rest to earlier in the season...but that would require proactive managing, and that's one place I have no problem saying Robin fails.

I have no problem with playing for the tie right there.

It's really playing for 1 run.

Ordering intentional outs when you're down 2 is silly.

Especially when the Royals' pen is the best in the game.

And of course...Sale at nearly 100 pitches to start the inning, and Albers now only just getting up. Good, proactive managing guys. It's not like you just asked for this pitcher to not pitch in the AS game and held him out a couple extra days for rest because you were thinking he was getting tired. If anything like that happened and you just assumed he was easily ready for 115 pitches of dominance you'd get laughed at.
