GGajewski18
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 25, 2015 -> 07:21 PM) I don't know what Eric Jagielo you are looking up, but the 3B from Notre Dame is 23 years old (3 years OLDER than Trey), and is in AA batting .284 and slugging almost .500.... I meant older lol, my bad. My argument is for Trey.
greg775
Get the Dodgers and Blue Jays to start increasing their offers. We can get 3-4 great players for a hot Shark to desperate teams.

sammy esposito
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 26, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) Hopefully before he starts Tuesday. Now that Shark is pitching more like we thought he could. If he pitches tomorrow I believe that is the more likely scenario. Balta1701
QUOTE (sammy esposito @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 03:03 PM) Now that Shark is pitching more like we thought he could. What will it cost the sox for a 3 year deal. If he pitches tomorrow I believe that is the scenario. 2 more years, or $30 mil a year?
sammy esposito
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 02:05 PM) 2 more years, or $30 mil a year? 30 million! Sox are use to getting their pitchers cheap.
Balta1701
QUOTE (sammy esposito @ Jul 27, 2015 -> 03:09 PM) 30 million! Sox are use to getting their pitchers cheap. Samardzija turned down 5/$75 from the Cubs last year supposedly. Even though he's not matching last year's performance he's still on a path towards a 5/$100 deal, maybe give or take a bit. If you want him for 3 years you need to massively overpay him for those 3 years to make the deal good enough that he sacrifices the last couple guaranteed years. Basically, it's just easier to give him the 5 years.
