the sox needs to stay the course they have committed to. trading whomever they can. this recent and surprising surge helps us fans and should boost the team internally.

we as fans knew this was a good, to very good team. now it is showing why we thought so.

the fans and everyone also witness the holes the team has and which must to be fixed.

I refuse to have hope. I want to. This pitching staff is good enough that if the White Sox offense is even average, they could make it.

But something about fool me once...

If the offense was even in the bottom half but not ON the bottom in just about every category the Sox would probably be leading the WC.

Not too late, though.

No, they should not sell. The team is starting to gel. They should have gone 2-2 with KC but they blew the Saturday game. And they blew the second Cardinals game. But, why would we trade Shark to Toronto...when we are not even that far behind them and our pitching staff is way above the talent level of theirs? It just makes no sense to me. Look at the teams in front of us. I am not saying we are great, but we played the worst we possibly could play before the All Star break. And all the teams in front of us...they are just bad. And the Twins...just watch. They are going to fall in the next 2 months. We should let it play out. We are kidding ourselves if we think players that we will get in a trade will be of any value. It is wishful thinking. Nobody like Addison Russel will be coming our way. And quite frankly, I am not too impressed with him unless you like a overhyped 2B that can't hit.

I like your post. It gives me hope, as well as Hawk saying he won't give up until it's over. BUT ... the way this team has played this season, the bizarre losing streaks and giving away of games via mistakes, I can never believe. And nobody should believe. This team has pretty much flopped until this point and this point is nearing Aug. 1. To think the team can play .650 ball the rest of the way ... it is possible but just way too unlikely. Anybody who believes in this team is flat out crazy IMO. We've been thru this before. SELL and SELL big.

You can't have hope. The Sox simply caught Cleveland at a great time ... finally! Any time a big series approaches, you can expect the team to return to crap. We're poorly coached and not put together very well. Tomorrow's loss should quell this optimism for a while.

One thing to remember; this has been a team that has consistently played below .500 ball throughout 90+ games; a winning streak against a Cleveland team (after losing 5 of 6 against good teams) does not (and should not) mean management should come to any irrational thoughts .
