Y2Jimmy0
Today, MLB.com updated their Top 30 Prospect Lists. Here is the White Sox: http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2015?list=cws In their top 100 list they listed: Tim Anderson (45), Carson Fulmer (50), and Frankie Montas (63)
Dunt
BUT THE WHITE SOX DONT HAVE ANY PROSPECTS!!!!!
danman31
These lists always throw some surprises in there, but this one is fairly close to the upcoming FutureSox list. However, Robinson Leyer? Wow, that's a totally out there pick.
Bruce_Blixton
Not a bad list, but I think Coats should flip with Jake Peter, I think he's earned a higher ranking even though he's not a flashy prospect. Kind of like Saldino, in that he's progressed through the system based more on baseball skill than tools.
Quin
That's one patriotic photo of Danish.
ChiSoxJon
Love the new list, Anderson, Fulmer, and Montas are a great trio of top 100 prospects, best our system has been in ages, very deep
Y2Jimmy0
I love Jordan Guerrero. Really underrated prospect that's getting some love.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 04:10 PM) These lists always throw some surprises in there, but this one is fairly close to the upcoming FutureSox list. However, Robinson Leyer? Wow, that's a totally out there pick. Agree. I think he's an interesting relief arm, but not a T30 guy to me at all. At least not yet. Also... Jace Fry still on the list? Down for second TJ? Ridiculous.
OmarComing25
If EJ still qualified as a prospect where would he fall in the top 100?
Balta1701
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:38 AM) If EJ still qualified as a prospect where would he fall in the top 100? I don't think he'd make it given his "incredibly down year" and "still unexplained velocity issues".
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:22 AM) I don't think he'd make it given his "incredibly down year" and "still unexplained velocity issues". I absolutely think he would be on the list. He was a top 100 guy prior to last year (Ranked #63) and yes he had a rough issue, but his velocity is back and he has been absolutely dominant this year. 1 earned run over his last 45 innings while showing very good stuff again (and command). If he was eligible he would most certainly be a top 100 guy.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 09:38 AM) If EJ still qualified as a prospect where would he fall in the top 100? That is also a good point for the state of our farm system. We have Erik Johnson and Adrien Nieto who both would be rated guys in our system, who aren't in the majors, but don't have eligibility. Chisoxfn
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:26 AM) That is also a good point for the state of our farm system. We have Erik Johnson and Adrien Nieto who both would be rated guys in our system, who aren't in the majors, but don't have eligibility. Nieto would not be a top 100 guy (nowhere close). He has not exactly had a banner year for the Barons.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) Nieto would not be a top 100 guy (nowhere close). He has not exactly had a banner year for the Barons. Not a top 100 overall guy, but a guy who would be rated in our system's rankings. GreenSox
Nieto would be in the White Sox top 100. Keep him around for a couple of more years...see how he does. Disappointing this year, at least offensively. 3 prospects in the top 65 is pretty strong improvement. And that doesn't include the 2 ML ready Johnsons. Keep on building. Rowand44
Archie Bradley has now been a top 100 prospect for 83 years.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:58 PM) Nieto would be in the White Sox top 100. Keep him around for a couple of more years...see how he does. Disappointing this year, at least offensively. 3 prospects in the top 65 is pretty strong improvement. And that doesn't include the 2 ML ready Johnsons. Keep on building. Actually, Micah is still eligible. But didn't make the T100.
