In my experience with the ESPN guys both baseball & football, none of them really have any sets of sources except for 2nd hand stuff they get from someone who knows someone.

Padilla is an ass on top of it.

Michael C Wright (former Bears ESPN writer) was the same way. Zero sources, a prick to most & never contributed dick. This article was just to fill his quota & to get a paycheck, nothing more.

Avi not in the lineup tonight.. But sure it is just to get JB in against the righty

There's no denying that Frazier would be magnificent for his performance and contract, but the price would likely be very, very high.

That is one guy I would empty the farm for. Good third basemen are incredibly rare, and I don't see many avenues for the Sox to get one.

Agreed. I love Anderson but I would drive him to the airport for Frazier.

On one hand, Garcia looks like he could've used a day off.

But.......

Avi really should listen to Hawk about hitting.

Moving around in the batter's box is very old school and probably went away when baseball became a HR hitting contest. Now that the game has changed, moving around in the box should be pretty common. Especially when you need to hit it the other way. Back off the plate. Make things easy.

Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 57s57 seconds ago

Sources: #Padres progressing on multiple deals, with Ross a key piece. Moving him would signal concession in ’15. But looking at adding too.

Maybe one is with us for Upton?

As Upton just hit a 3 run bomb in the 9th to take the lead against the Mets.

That said, don't see us giving up much for a rental like Upton.

I feel like the only way we make a deal for a hitter is if they're around for at least the next year +

I just can't see them selling a portion of the farm for a 2 month rental... Maybe I'm wrong, though.

Todd Frazier isn't in the Reds lineup tonight, so I assume he'll be playing for the WSox tomorrow.

I know you were kidding, but that SoxNet account mentioned that too for some reason. Just because player so and so isn't in a lineup in late July, way too many people feel a need to make it out to mean something other than most baseball players don't play 162 games a year.

The Padres are winning?? It was like 7-1 Mets in the 6th when I was watching. Damn.

You're very right but, it just so happens to be the day before the trade deadline lol.

That said, I'm with you, probably just a day off.

I don't want to give away the assets it would take to get upton for a month or two. I don't think he offers that much of an impact. Puig, Cespedes, Gomez and even Cargo (10HR in his last 13 games, and 7HR in his last 8) they can carry or ignite a slumping offense which we have been notorious for this season. And as much as you all don't like Ben revere he does the same. Can bunt, steal, slap a hit and steal. And as I said before he would be third on the team in hits.

The #WhiteSox are aggressively looking for a hitter, and checking in with everybody, including #Tigers Cespedes
