flavum
It looks like a 4-horse race for the second wildcard: Astros 79-71 --- Angels 76-73 2.5 Twins 76-73 2.5 Indians 74-74 4.0 What they have left: Astros (3 vs Angels, 3 vs Rangers, 3 at Mariners, 3 at D-backs) Angels (3 at Astros, 3 vs Mariners, 3 vs A's, 4 at Rangers) Twins (3 vs Indians, 3 at Tigers, 4 at Indians, 3 vs Royals) Indians (3 at Twins, 3 at Royals, 4 vs Twins, 3 vs Red Sox, 1 vs Tigers if nec) I hope the Astros, Angels, and Twins end up 85-77. Give me some chaos.
kitekrazy
QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 20, 2015 -> 08:10 AM) last season, the team and sale had a real scare, especially but over pitching in a game. this season or should i say in spring training, as you said, he got hurt. bottom line why increase the odds of in injury. if a person, with all the necessary chances of getting injured, someone does, then that is the way it is. but at the same time don't help it by having key players play for what???? Your logic can't be any more flawed. Winning organizations in all professional sports do not walk on glass.

flavum
Good night for the Twins and Angels last night. Indians got to .500 yet again, and lost the next time. Wonder what the record is for alternating wins and losses. Angels and Astros are playing now. Angels take a quick 2-0 lead. Brian
It's so frustrating how 85 wins may get that second spot. We could've easily done that if not for the first two months.
flavum
Astros are tanking. Indians still alive, and will try to get over .500 for the first time since they were 2-1. Trying to plan against injury doesn't make sense and does not always work. Sale missed the beginning of the season because he was moving. Should they put him in bubble wrap in October and break him out in February. It's foolish thinking. They try this in the NFL. Your logic can't be any more flawed. Harry Chappas
It is really sad that the Twins philosophy alone could get them into the playoffs while the white Sox muddle along with their poor philosophy. With he White Sox pitching staff they really should have easily still be in contention with a simple .500 record
flavum
Angels move into the 2nd spot, and still alive in the AL West, playing 4 in Texas this weekend: Angels 83-74 -- (1 vs Oak, 4 at Tex) Astros 83-75 0.5 (1 at Sea, off, 3 at Arz) Twins 81-75 1.5 (3 at Cle, 3 vs KC) Twins need to win two games today. flavum
Astros win. Angels lose to the A's. Twins split doubleheader. Astros 84-75 (off today, then 3 interleague games in Arizona) Angels 83-75 (4 at Texas starting tonight) Twins 82-76 (1 more in Cleveland, then host the Royals this weekend) Weather looks good enough for all of these game. Also, the Mariners starting a pitcher against the Astros who never started a professional game was a bad look for Baseball.

Not that it's specifically related, but not enough people complain that the roster rules change in the final month of the season when the games are the most consequential. he gone.
Who is everybody rooting for? I personally am rooting for the Twins or Astros. I live in Houston right now, pretty quiet down here. Although the stadium has been more full, no real buzz around town. All my hatred for the Twins from the early 00's has gone away. Then I had it for the Tigers ... now, well, we don't win, so I don't care. So go AL Central!

The last thing I thing I want to see is a Rangers/Astros ALCS where they come up with a BS narrative of how they're a great new "Rivalry" in baseball. A 3-way tie would be cool though. GGajewski18
QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Oct 1, 2015 -> 01:07 PM) Blue Jays or Mets for me. This would be the best WS for the league in my opinion. Houston/Pirates would intrigue me as well.
