Jose Abreu
He's a free agent now. You can never have enough bullpen arms, and he's a lefty. Could replace Jennings, has a 3.17 FIP and 10.4 K/9.
The Ginger Kid
Is something wrong with Jennings?
caulfield12
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 11:00 PM) Is something wrong with Jennings? Just the fact that he pitched pretty terribly tonight against Boston in the 9th.
GGajewski18
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:29 AM) Just the fact that he pitched pretty terribly tonight against Boston in the 9th. Is that sarcasm because Jennings did fine in the 9th. He gave up a soft single over Alexei's head, got a soft grounball double play, and a K..... Bob Sacamano
Sure why not? At the very least, minor league deal so you can have additional lefty in Septemeber when rosters expand.
pettie4sox
caufield are you smoking? Jennings did not do poorly yesterday... a tired Samardzija gave up a bunch of hits.
southsider2k5
Jennings has had one outing where he gave up 30% of the runs he has given up this year. For the most part he has been serviceable as the 6th or 7th man in the pen. As Jones advances, there is a decent change we won't see Jennings anymore. GreenSox
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:00 AM) Is something wrong with Jennings? No there isn't. He also had an effective long relief outing a week or so ago. Thatcher's strictly situational. Do not need. BTW, our bullpen's pretty good. cabiness42
Is something wrong with Jennings? His WHIP is 1.50 and his FIP is 4.18. That's what's wrong with him. Edited July 29, 2015 by HickoryHuskers
YouCanPutItOnTheBoardYES!
Thatcher is one of the best relievers to ever live...I want him.
