I've been defending Flowers. I agree that Soto deserves more starts but I've definitely been defending Flowers when people go on about how much he sucks. chitownsportsfan
So if RV lets Q go over 105 or so tonight he should be questioned in the post game. Last night whatever but come on the pen needs some work and this team looks like they are gonna need their horses in late Sept -- let Q rest up. chitownsportsfan
Melky's weird mannerisms are a helluva lot more endearing when he's tearing the cover off the ball.
Heads22
I suppose if we have to give up home runs, solo shots in a 8-1 game are okay

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 08:49 PM) Not sure I get this. We're literally overflowing with RH relievers: Robertson Putnam Petricka Webb Albers Jones Why on earth would we trade for a RH reliever? We don't even have room for Jones right now. An 8th inning tested guy would be nice. Webb has thrown pretty well but his radar can go at anytime. Hey, hey, hey its Matt Albers has been decent but would you really trust him in a game you had to win? And Nate Jones is throwing zeroes but fanning no one in the minors. I think he still needs time. caulfield12
Napoli would be a nice platoon partner and PH for the White Sox bench...depending on the asking price. 810ish OPS against LHP this year, 851 from 2012-2014. Veteran, good clubhouse guy supposedly, tons of playoff experience. It's over now, Baltimore is 1 GB of the Twins now, streaking in the opposite direction of the Twins (5 wins in a row for them). Baron
I almost forgot we didnt do anything at the deadline last year. Dunn and Gordon trades were in August.
Bigsoxhurt35
This is why Tyler is ok for right now. A good offense masks his s***ty bat but he'll contribute some like Avila does for Detroit at times.
chitownsportsfan
nobody was even warming? WTF seems like the Sox like to assume a lot of quick innings when their starter is at ~90 pitches and going through the lineup the 3rd time.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 08:54 PM) What's your argument for him not sucking exactly? He is the 3rd best pitch framer in baseball according to BP. Pitchers like throwing to him. He can't hit, but has had some timely safties. He obviously has his faults, but he isn't as bad as so many, not just here but at games as well where there is always someone yelling to him he sucks, make him out to be. There aren't many perfect catchers around the league. Edited July 30, 2015 by Dick Allen
