Also, isn't there a rule of 10-15 days before you can get called up for a 2nd time or am I imagining that?

It is 10 days with the exception of an injury replacement, in that case the 10 day waiting period is waived.

They're seemingly determined not to have Micah Johnson set foot anywhere near the MLB defense for now.

And/or they're looking to trade him, but who knows with KW and his penchant for dealing prospects...

Or they just want him to keep getting regular AB's.

Well, there's no compelling need to bring him up if he's just going to sit on the bench and there's one more month of games left at Charlotte.

He'll obviously get called up in September, and playing time will depend on Saladino/Alexei (if they feel the need to try out Sanchez or Saladino at SS for awhile) and where we are at in the race.

Just let Micah continue to rake at AAA. If they aren't going to DH him (and it seems they have no intents) then just let him continue to get the everyday reps at 2B. It also could be that a few of the guys on the pitching staff have flat out told RV that they'd prefer to not see him out there. Some of the body language from the staff when he would make a mistake was obvious, especially for pros.

Who was the last top prospect KW traded?

Gio/De Los Santos

Prior to the 2008 season. So 7 years ago. I would think that really doesn't qualify for what Caulfield stated he has. We know KW traded prospects. He traded s***ty prospects for guys that actually played pretty well, yet many complain. Freddy Garcia for a bunch of prospects. KW won. Gio was about the only guy that was regretful. Everyone else was either really medicore, or just plain sucked, and was definitely no better than what was acquired. Hudson was OK, but he got hurt. EJax was good with the Sox. He turned into Fraser, who turned into Webb and Jaye, so even there, he did fine. I bet AZ would trade you Hudson today for Webb and Jaye.

Well, top prospects for sox were also meaningless. for 10 years our top prospect was whomever we drafted #1 they ear before until they failed.

Yeah - I think it has more to do with giving Micah regular at bats.

I for one don't b**** about KW trading prospects because most have sucked. GIO was the only one that panned out.

Like Dan O'Odowd said on MLB Tongith just now, dating back to '11, the prospects moved around the deadline pan out. He mentioned a few. This is why I want to see us go get a bat. Freddy helped us win a title. That trade was awesome.

You are replacing a super sub kind of guy with another. Johnson would be a guy you would want to keep in the line up every day. Same goes for someone like Davidson. You don't want them sitting on the bench
