LittleHurt05
Per CSN: The White Sox have outscored opponents 16-2 in the first inning in the past five games, trimming the season-deficit to 74-43.
cabiness42
I don't want to be a wet blanket, but this 7-0 run has come against two really, really awful teams. I want to see the Sox take a series from Tampa or NY before I get too excited.

The Phillies and Rockies are really, really awful teams, I wouldn't put Cleveland on that level, they were 45-48 when we started playing them. Also even the worst teams in baseball win ~40% of their games, it's really hard to win seven games in a row against anyone, and we're kicking the s*** out of both these teams. Boston's pitching is s*** but Cleveland has a great pitching staff and we pounded their pitchers too. If the sox had beaten the crap out of all of the awful sub-500 teams we've played, I'm pretty sure we'd lead the wild card.
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 09:22 AM) I don't want to be a wet blanket, but this 7-0 run has come against two really, really awful teams. I want to see the Sox take a series from Tampa or NY before I get too excited. Scoring 6 runs each against Bauer, Carrasco, and Kluber is pretty impressive. Yes, Boston's pitching stinks, half their players are disinterested, so it is a little less impressive, but they still are handily beating them. The other team in town got swept at home by the worst team in baseball, so you still have to beat those really awful teams. I do agree that the stretch against NY, Tampa, and KC will help determine if I am ready to buy in 100%.
